About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Forest Hermitage With Creek. Close To Everything!

Imagine waking up to the sounds of birds chirping and the trickling of water from the creek as you sip your favorite hot drink from the balcony among the pine and fir trees. This cabin is just a stone's throw away from town center with a food shop right across the street, but is a true mountain hermitage where you can unplug and unwind from all your concerns. And with fast Wifi, you can do your best work remotely amidst the serenity of nature while a fresh mountain breeze blows.

THE SPACE

This is a 70 year old rustic cabin - 900 sq. ft. with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, built into the mountain side and accessible via approximately 30 stairs with open side rails. It may creak and squeak on occasion, but that's just its personality and part of a real cabin experience. Please note that as there are steps to ascend and the balcony is not fully child-proofed, being elevated, you will need to be careful if you bring young children.

GUEST ACCESS

The whole cabin is for you! There is self-entry with a code that you will receive upon booking.

*** WINTER ACCESS ***

In the Winter months, you will most likely need to have a 4x4 vehicle, all wheel drive, and/or snow chains, to rent the cabin, since mountain access is restricted to such when there is snow/ice on the road. Please stay up to date with weather conditions and call the Road Conditions Line for updates, which can be found by googling: "mt lemmon road conditions line" (I'm not allowed to post the phone number or link here)

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

Concerning trash, the mountain has a "pack it in and pack it out" policy, as Mt. Lemmon has no trash service available. It must be taken with you off of the mountain. Any trash leftover will incur a $75 fee per bag.

2 smaller pets (no cats) up to 30 lbs. maximum (each pet) are allowed, any violations to this rule will incur a $50 fee.

There is cell service on the mountain. As for cell data, T-Mobile and AT&T work very well and Verizon gets some coverage in the evenings and early mornings.

We have fast WiFi at the cabin! If you stroll into the town center, the community center also has free public WiFi daily. The center is closed during the week but you can access the internet from the benches outside or from the restaurant across the street.

Due to water availability issues on the mountain, please refrain from using the washing machine. As well, sometimes the Mt. Lemmon Water District imposes mountain-wide water restrictions. Please make sure to check for any current restrictions before your stay at the MtLemmonWater website (I'm not allowed to post an external website link on Airbnb).

The cabin offers a 40 inch Smart TV for you to enjoy all your favorite movies on the Internet (Netflix, Amazon, etc.).

The cozy fireplace is for your enjoyment, as well, but you must bring your own firewood, which may be purchased at the general store down the street.

There are USB outlets on the back of the end table next to the love seat in the main living room.

There are extra linens in the bedroom with the queen bed.

The water is mountain spring water and drinkable!

Please avoid using the microwave and the oven/stove at the same time, as this may cause the electrical circuit breaker to trip.
During your stay at this cabin, you'll be within walking distance of Pusch Ridge Wilderness. Enjoy features like laundry facilities. The cabin includes amenities such as free WiFi and a kitchen.
  • The cabin offers a kitchen, a washing machine and a fireplace
  • Free Wi-Fi (speed: 50+ Mbps)
  • Amenities include laundry facilities
  • Just a 4-minute drive from Mt Lemmon Ski Valley and a few minutes from Santa Catalina Mountains
Forest Hermitage With Creek. Close To Everything! offers its guests barbecue grills and laundry facilities. The front desk is open around the clock.

This Mount Lemmon cabin is smoke free.

This Cabin was spacious but Cozy. A warm comfortable feeling with or without the fireplace burning. I most definitely will rent this Cabin again. Had everything needed from board games (which we didn't use) to a kitchen knife. Spent most of our time enjoying the weather on the balcony during the day and fireplace at night.

The place was amazing!!

The cabin was beautiful. The feel, the atmosphere and all around comfort was amazing. Summer haven was a fun little town to visit, and super quiet. The trails were fun fishing was good. And the owner was great. Check in was seamless and got to us with what few questions we had pretty quick. Thank you for letting us stay.

I really did appreciate the trip we did so many things in such a short period of time the cabin was cozy the fireplace worked amazing the steps Can be a little bit much if you're older the environment of the area was great located right in the center of Winter Haven, The host was nice enough to let us in a little early the place was clean and I really appreciated the cabin aesthetics, We had an amazing time we baked cookies lit the fireplace made gingerbread houses we even set up our Christmas tree and opened up our gifts there it was a great experience I kind of wish it snowed when we finally went down The next day it started to rain in Tucson so it started to snow on mount lemon Overall I would say this is a pretty good place if you're looking for a spacious house you may want to look elsewhere but if you're looking for a very intimate setting a very cozy relaxing area with a beautiful view on the balcony this is your spot

The cabin was well stocked with all the essentials and amazing deck surrounded by trees every window you look at all you see is trees. It’s beautiful! We used the grill every night to cook, and since it was super windy outside, we decided to roast our s’mores inside with the fireplace.. there was an option for like a a fire with a grill maybe for charcoal, but it was just too windy to utilize that it is April in in Arizona, which is completely normal. A short walk to the little shops and cafés in Summer Haven and there are two hiking trails nearby. We did one of them. It is a moderate hike though, and you can definitely feel it, especially with the elevation. The shower was nice and hot and they had body soap, shampoo and conditioner for use. Inthe kitchen there was dish soap to use as well. The cabinet is stocked with extra blankets for being cozy and lots of games which we played a lot of Yahtzee! I do suggest if you were able to bring bigger logs for the fireplace do so because the wood bundles you get from the general store they’re tiny and don’t produce a very good fire and you go through it really quickly. it was a very relaxing stay and was sad to leave the mountain back down to the valley in Tucson. The pictures in the listing are completely accurate what you see is what you’re gonna get.

Sweet Cabin - Family

My kids, grandkids and I really enjoyed our stay in this cabin! It was a true mountain experience! Nicely furnished. The beds were comfortable. The only complaint woul d be the need for a decent spatula. There was only one, which was just really little. :-) There were BBQ spatulas but that proved too difficult to flip pancakes with.

Comfortable

Lovely old rustic cabin. Comfortable couches and bed. Simple, adequate kitchen. (No toaster at this time.) We were lucky to be there when it snowed. Property keeper cleared the driveway. Main road and highway were cleared early in the day. We had no trouble driving down the mountain in our 4-wheel drive. Long stairway to get to the cabin. Good communication with host.

Snowy mountain

The deck surrounding half of the cabin was fabulous! The beds were all very hard and uncomfortable. Even the kids complained and slept on the couches the second night. The TV was terrific with lots of choices. Excellent fireplace but even though they told us to bring our own wood we were surprised that there weren’t even matches or a fire starter. Very rustic. The kitchen was nice but lacking allot of utensils, measuring cups etc. the grill was fine but no grilling utensils provided

Nice Cabin

The cabin was in a great location, walking distance to the shops and restaurants, and the host was very nice and accommodating. The internet was very weak and spotty, so I’d recommend bringing dvds if you’re looking for tv entertainment (they had a few to choose from). They also provided some board games for kids which was nice. The living area and kitchen were spacious and the patio was great. The coffee maker is a French press, not your typical Keurig or coffee pot, so bring ground coffee and make sure you know how to use one! The large bed was comfortable, but the two twin beds were hard as a rock, so it may not be the most relaxing night’s sleep you’ll get if you end up in that room. All in all, it was a nice cabin and we were happy with our stay.

Tapped out a day early because of the smell

We were so excited to escape the heat and have a mini get away on Mt Lemmon, but we unfortunately had to cut our trip a day short because the cabin smelled horrible. I feel silly even writing this because who needs to end a trip short due to the house smelling bad. It was especially bad in the morning and at night when we had to keep the windows shut because it was too chilly to keep them open. I never write reviews, but felt like I needed to here because it was upsetting that we needed to end our trip early because of the smell. Cons- - Cabin smelled badly - Outdoor patio furniture was in rough condition - The patio could use some TLC - Floors inside were dirty Pros - - Great location - Easy Parking
