The room was clean and spacious but very musty. It needed to be aired out, and even after being out of the room for over 6 hours,with the air circulating. the musty smell lingered.

Very nice customer service at front desk. Unique cabin like atmosphere. Free donuts for breakfast and free ice cream for dessert. Clean, large rooms, great location close to snow, bear valley and historic murphys restaurants, bars, boutique shopping, antiques, great with kids.

Friendly staff but had to wait for front desk person to return to check in. Big rooms. Had problems keeping fridge to stay cold. Tv had light white lines across the screen. They provided frozen burritos and donuts and juice or breakfast which was a plus. Walls thin since I had to hear 20min of you know what. But overall hot tub and sauna were a great place to relax. Make sure to visit Main Street downtown for activities.

The staff are amazing, supplying coffee, soft serve, extra supplies for the room, breakfast and assistance whenever requested. The room was comfortable, with a mini fridge, bar sink, microwave and counter to make food and equipped with a TV that connected to our accounts for streaming which my kids loved. Parking is free and safe. Nearby restaurants are foodie heaven. Calaveras County is amazingly beautiful, and this is the perfect launch point for a trip to Bear Valley, Big Trees State Park or any other local spots.

Did not use the hot tub. All the staff were great, very friendly and helpful. The room was a bit dated, but clean. The bed was not very comfortable unfortunately. The mattress and the pillows were rather hard. Otherwise, it's a great location and budget friendly.

We were pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to park and access our room. They had the tastiest and freshest doughnuts for breakfast with oj every morning. In the evenings the kids were spoiled with soft serve vanilla ice cream. We didn’t use the pool because it was freezing when we went up. The room was spacious with a couch in the living area and an extra chair in the bedroom. The tv had local cable tv, forcing our children to slow down and play with each other. The staff was very friendly and patient. The hotel itself is close to Main Street, just a few minutes drive to the action. We stayed here to be closer to the snow and it was about a 45 Minute drive to Spicer Sno park. The also have onsite driers to dry your clothes if you needed to (it took quarters).

Hard bed and pillows - didn’t sleep at all because it was so extremely uncomfortable. Facilities are clean albeit super outdated. Check in lady was unfeeling and not welcoming. Informed us that they didn’t have staff to make continental breakfast so we could have a frozen burrito or mini donuts for breakfast. So gross. Cute lodge with tons of potential but I wouldn’t stay again.
