We love the beach. This vacation home also enabled us to introduce our younger children to kayaking and seine net casting. In addition, the location gave ample opportunities for them to bike on a safe and less traveled road. When not at the beach, the kids had much fun in the small pool as if it was an Olympic size. We are contemplating re-renting. If more family comes, we will need a larger space and will look in this neighborhood first.

Reviewer Comments: the down stairs sink leaked water last year this year still not repaired water everywhere when you turn it on.....1st bedroom left down stairs shower inop...water barely dribbles out could only take a bath ....over all we enjoy our stay there ...plenty of parking space for 8 couples .....from the back of the house left side it takes a long time to get hot water to sinks/tubs

There continues to be growth taking place with the arrival of more great grandchildren-number 5 on the way. The house and yard have suited us well. We wish we had a boat to put in the inlet! We are going to be sad when we outgrow DD!!!!

Property was once a smaller unit and bottom floor was renovated to add more bedrooms. Only negative with renovation was no inside stairs to connect two floors. Laundry room has new washer and dryer but needs some new electrical to make it better. We would stay again. A couple of minor issues but Garden City Realty did a great job to resolve immediately.

Only complaints were the interior floors were very dirty. Our kids feet stayed black. One toilet was leaking. We had a hard rain and it leaked inside my granddaughters bedroom. No one had hot water when they showered, only warm.

The pool was great! Short walk to the beach and we loved the size of the yard, plenty of room for outside activities.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have rented here several years unfortunately this is our last. Some great positives of the house are the location, size of the house, lots of parking, yard and boat dock. Also the AC works great. Some negatives are the kitchen really needs restocking. Had to buy a can opener, wine glasses and some knives that would cut. We left them all for next renters. Master upstairs has zero pressure and you have to shower in another room every year. Rocking chairs are broken and don’t rock. Microwave kept going in and out. The coffee table is so dangerous for children! Every year we have to move it to another location. I’m shocked they haven't replaced it. The worst part is the girl that called when we were driving home and said we had to give her a deposit right then because someone else wanted to rent the house. I told her we had some issues and she didn’t care. I asked if there were any other houses available and she said no without even checking. So I called Dunes and they found us a similar updated house immediately. There was so much sand in the floors that we had to sweep the entire house before unpacking. Otherwise house seemed clean

The yard and pool are a favorite for our young people- the cabana improvement(new chairs) were appreciated, as well as several furniture changes throughout. We understand why, but the downstairs with no windows is awfully gloomy. Otherwise it’s the perfect place for our 20 daily members!!!

Reviewer Comments: HAD WRONG SHEETS REPLACED, A/C WENT OUT AND WAS REPAIRED PROMPLY....HEATED POOL WAS NOT HEATED EVEN AFTER A POOL MAN CAME TO SERVICE....WE REALLY LOOKED FORWARD TO HEATED POOL MY WIFE IS HANDICAPPED AND LOOKED FORWARD TO THE ENJOYMENT...OTHER THAN THAT WAS HAPPY AND HAVE RESERVATIONS FOR NEXT YEAR ALTHO A INCREASE OF 913.00 IS TOO MUCH DEPENDING ON FRIENDS PROUBLY LAST TIME RENTING THERE

This is our second year here. The only concern are ANTS! The first year they were inside and this year they seemed to be more outside. Had to have several vehicles treated before returning home.

We would take the golf carts over to haul our stuff over and then go back to house to park the golf cart. Perfect location. Beach was not crowded. And even with you having houses across from you on the canal- it was still private and peaceful. House was very clean when we arrived

We checked the code on the door at 4:00 and were able to get in. Message from office on phone that I had not come by to check in. it was Very confusing. Finally got a text that the property was ready at 6:03pm. Person came by to check the house and was surprise we were in but did not bring check in package. I did not care for the linen service. Others have the beds already made for you. Several sheets had holes in them.

I do want to say we had to go buy wine glasses (none there) and trash cans for most bath rooms. Not enough pillows per guests. We also had an ant problem (inside and out) that we handled upon checking in. The downstairs dryer cuts off once it heats up so not able to use. The drain in tub (front right upstairs) would not drain and filled up during shower. Had to use another shower. Small things that need to be addressed as a rental. Loved the layout, parking, dock, location and # of baths!! Gazebo great addition! Overall loved the house

We took our boat and we could just jump in the boat from the dock and go down to the point or the restaurant area. Also the perfect place to paddle board. We would definitely stay again.

The separate living areas work well when you have younger family members who like to watch “do their own thing”. The pool is very small— photos are deceiving. Needs attention to details like light light bulbs and overall cleanliness. Didn’t think not having an inner stairwell would matter, but it separated us more than I’d like. Oven was filthy and not well stocked with kitchenware. Beds were comfortable but mattress was stained and well as the comforters. Location is very close to beach and the canal is quaint. Overall, we enjoyed our time but don’t think I’d chose this home again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we enjoyed our stay at this property. It is definitely spacious and accommodating. Having a full bath for each bedroom is a definite plus as well as having 2 separate laundry rooms and 3 full refrigerators. Done if the sheet sets did not actually fit the king sized beds so we had to ask for other sheets and had to make the beds ourselves upon arrival. The house was very clean and the kitchen was fully equipped. The only drawback to this property is that the overhang on the front and back porches leaks so the porch floors were wet and slippery snd we had to sweep and sponge the water off, especially after a rain. The saltwater pool was clean and refreshing. Housekeeping needs to vacuum under the beds as we found a lot of food and trash under the trundle bed in the room with the bunk beds. Overall, we would rent this house again.

Plenty of Room for unwanted guests

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house had lots of rooms but it also had an ant problem and I'm not referring to the ones in the Geico commercial. The 1st few days, they were just popping up here and there but by Thursday they had invaded the bathrooms, crawling on toothbrushes and all around the kitchen sink on the upper level. We contacted maintenance and they sent pest control right over. Unfortunately the damage was already done. When we entered our cars which were all parked on the cement, every one of them was infested with these little ants. All 6 cars had ants everywhere. Days later, we are still killing ants! Not what we wanted to bring home from our vacation. The house served our needs but I will say that being new on the rental program, it needs some tweaks. The dock is in disrepair and had broken boards that we feared would snap and break. There was no lighting or power at the dock so we had to periodically pull the boats out of the water on the trailers to charge batteries and closest boat ramp is on business 17 in Murrells Inlet. We will not be renting this property next year.
