This place was amazing. The river view was spectacular. The home is beautifully decorated, clean and has everything you need to have a wonderful stay. We were looking for a relaxing weekend and that is exactly what we got. I would highly recommend. The garage parking was a bonus! Especially for unpacking and packing up the car during a storm!

The view cannot be beaten. The beds were so comfortable I didn’t miss mine once. I loved that everything we might have needed was there in the event something was forgotten (tooth brush, laundry detergent, shampoo, etc). We had a lovely stay!

Loved this great house with amazing views of the Wisconsin River. Enjoyed many house on the screened deck overlooking the water. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 kids. Beautiful House with an amazing view

We stayed at the river house for 3 nights, 6 adults and 1 small child. The house is beautiful - the view of the river is amazing! The house was thoughtfully furnished with everything needed for a very comfortable stay. We enjoyed the large screened in porch overlooking the river and spent much of our time there. Our group also enjoyed hanging outside around the fire pit at night. The new update to the lower level was so comfortable and we very much appreciated the 2nd spacious bathroom. The beds, pillows and covers are very comfortable and made for a peaceful night sleep. The owner was quick to answer any questions prior to our trip. Our group would 100% recommend this beautiful rental. Thank you for allowing us to stay at this little piece of heaven.

Return restored from repose on the river

Loved our stay at the Orion River House near Muscoda. The well appointed and clean house was restful and relaxing. Perfect for morning coffee as the sun lights up the deck or evenings talking, laughing and eating on the screened-in porch. When it rained, we reclined on the big couches with books and looked out the big picture window. In the evenings, we watched the big TV before retiring to the comfiest beds. Repeat, repeat, repeat. The river delivers peace, calm, and the magic of birdsong. We brought binoculars, a bird book and our Merlin app and were awed daily by the variety of birds - warbling vireos, orioles, swifts, blue birds, red-breasted gross beaks, geese using the river as a runway, even a bald eagle swimming (yes, swimming!). This is a special place with owners kind enough to share it with others. We had a wonderful vacation!

Perfect sisters weekend

3 of us stayed for 2 nights at this great house. For us it is all about the views and these were lovely. Very private and quiet. House had everything we needed and was cute, comfortable and very clean. Would stay there again.

Quiet, secluded but centrally located

We chose this rental for its proximity to Taliesin and House on the Rock attractions. Situated along the Wisconsin River, the house was quiet, secluded but only a short drive to Spring Green. We also spent the majority of our time on the large screen porch, having morning coffee or eating our meals there. The home is well stocked and we appreciated the large stacks of firewood/supplies for nightly bonfires. We loved the Wild Hills Winery, only a few miles away. They offer Woodfire Pizza and live music. Lots of places to sit. We also enjoyed a movie at the Starlite 14 drive in theater in Richland Center, about 15 miles from the home. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful Riverfront Retreat

We had an amazing stay at this beautifully located property right on the river. The unobstructed view of the river provided a perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. The house itself was super clean and well-maintained, exceeding our expectations. There were lots of amenities—everything you can think of! All you need to pack is your food, drink, and clothing. The screened-in porch is extra special, especially during the summer to keep the bugs and mosquitoes out. Accessing the property was easy, thanks to clear instructions and a seamless check-in process. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and picturesque escape.

Our Second Stay at the River House

This was the second time that our family stayed at the River House, and our experience was just as pleasant as our first visit a year ago. The weather was warmer during this stay, so we were able to spend more time relaxing in the porch and cooking on the grill. As many people have noted here, the views of the river are amazing and very relaxing. The newly finished lower level and second bathroom make the house an even better choice for family vacations. The house is nicely located near Taliesin, the American Players Theater, supper clubs, and many outdoor recreation options. It is a beautiful house, and we enjoyed our second stay. Highly recommended!

Riverview

One of the few properties on the lower Wisconsin river with a mostly unobstructed view. Nice house. Plenty of space. But it's the screened in porch with that view that are the real stars.

We all enjoyed the panoramic views to the Wisconsin River and socializing from the screen porch. The house is clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Very nice place to get away , relax and enjoy nature.

Perfect riverfront getaway

My partner and I spent a long weekend here and completely enjoyed ourselves. The house is serene and perfectly tidy. We spent a lot of time on the screened-in porch watching birds on the water. This property is also a great home base for exploring other interesting towns in the area: Boscobel, Viroqua, Spring Green, etc. We will definitely be back!
