The suite was clean when we arrived (not so for other families we were staying with in other units). The pictures of the bathrooms make them look better than they are but they weren't bad. Loved having the laundry in the room. Beds were comfortable with nice sheets and blankets. Pool area was ok. So, are you looking for a lot of space for a family on the beach at a decent price? This is it. Are you looking for a luxury penthouse or a really, really nice resort? This is not it.
I loved my trip to this unit at The Palms in Myrtle Beach. The unit was exactly as pictured and clean. The resort itself is older, so it has a more âcasualâ vibe versus a full-blown resort. I loved it. Check-in process was completely remote which was also a plus. I could see this building being a letdown for folks looking for poolside bars, entertainment etc The Palms isnât that kind of place. Very relaxing and quiet.
This property was not well represented online. The icemaker didnât work, the couch was dirty, the porch outside had to dirty plastic chairs. We actually found a used eyelash on one of the chairs in one of the bedrooms. Disgusting, and not worth the price.
The pictures are a little deceiving. It desperately needs renovations. Old furniture, old carpet, and a weird smell. The pool was very outdated. The Jacuzzis were not hot and there were holes in the plastic covered windows. The kitchen was nice. The views from each room were beautiful.
