Great Fall Getaway

We had a great fall get away at The Strand. Our room was clean and comfy. Breakfast had great hot options as well as yogurt & fruit. The small hotel bar was friendly and convenient for a night cap. The heated pool and large hot tub were great on a cooler day and the beach was clean and beautiful.

Nice outdoor pool and beach front view. The hotel door was so hard to open and close, my 6 year old son couldn't do it by himself. Other than that, the property was as expected. The lady working the front desk really seems to hate her job, but all other staff was nice and pleasant.

I was placed in Rm 260 nèver again. downfall was the view of trees, cars in the parking lot, you see and hear the people in the pool. There is and side view of the building next to The Strand. This room is barly an ocenfront. For a better real oceanfront view, ask for a room on a higher floor.

Overpowering smell in the room. I needed to buy air freshener. Room was old and needed some TLC. Breakfast pictures are WAY better than what is served. Bar was small, but just fine. The outdoor fireplace was nice as well as the beach chairs!

Great place to stay.

Staff was great. Hotel is nice and our room was clean and comfortable. It was dated and probably will need an overhaul in the future but we really liked it and enjoyed our stay. We've already booked a return trip. Great value for the cost.

The common spaces were average but the rooms need a complete refurbishment. The first night we had to request to be moved because the rug in the room had a pungent odor. The front desk staff was helpful and was able to change our room. Unfortunately we went from one odor to another. The hotel states no smoking but allows smoking on the balcony. Our room wreaked of smoke from the room next door. We put a towel on the floor in front of our door but that only helped minimally. The pool was nice, the hot tub didn’t have the jets working and the towels were very thin. The best part of the hotel is its location on the beach and proximity to the airport. Overall we were disappointed and wouldn’t choose this property again.
