location, location, location

Again, location was perfect! Convenient to all local attractions, shopping, restaurants and the beach is pristine and quiet; we were there just before season opened, so not a lot of people! Home is lovely, more space than we really needed, but my husband insisted on a hot tub. Feedback is important so here are my few suggestions... hot tub has a leak and needs some attention to maintain water levels and performance. Kitchen sink faucet needs adjustment (difficult to turn off) and my last comment would be that hopefully carpeting is on the list for upcoming replacement. None of these were a dealbreaker and we will book same property again in the coming year. The view was spectatular for watching the sun rise, we had perfect weather and enjoyed watching all the classic cars/hot rods that cruised down the street! All in all, terrific place to stay!

Our stay at Sea Rest was wonderful! The location of the house was ideal, everything was right down the road, and having our own deck attached to the beach was so convenient! We would definitely come here again, thank you so much for having us!

Wonderful Long Weekend

Location Location Location! All we did was relax on this wonderful cottage on the beach! It had everything we needed, and we stayed in most of the time. We enjoyed the view, we went to local restaurants, we watched football. We will definitely be back!

We had a great time together. The house was well stocked but lacking in supplies. We had extra supplies with us but not what we are used to from VRBO. The deck had several boards loose and deck needs some work on railing too. Carpets are in need of a good cleaning on second floor too. Overall we had an enjoyable time.

My family of four stayed for a week in late september and it was great! The views from the deck were incredible and the private entrance to the beach was great for us and my elderly mother who could not walk far.

Great location/view but needs maintenance and improved cleanliness

The location of this house is its saving grace. Perfect location in Nags Head. Great private access to beach. Close to restaurants and shopping. Ocean view from house is great for dolphin watching and sunrises. However, this property is severely lacking in cleanliness. Not clean when we arrived with dust everywhere, articles of clothing from previous guests under the master bed, and floors disgusting. They do not provide luggage racks so suitcases had to go on the dirty floor. This property had many bugs including ants, spiders, and some kind of large roach. We contacted the property manager about this and they did send bug control, but we continued to see a large volume of bugs. Just unacceptable. Other issues include broken blinds with pieces left on the floor, main back door to back deck is broken and nearly impossible to open/close, light over dining table is broken, basement shower shower valve needs replaced, master bathroom shower curtain is broke, cracked/breaking outdoor chairs, and this list could honestly continue on. Not to mention we had infants with us who should not be exposed to these issues especially the bugs. We are not ones to typically write negative reviews but this property needs severe maintenance. We would have not booked this property if we had read previous reviews stating these big issues.

Vacation with friends

It was so nice to sit on the balcony and watch the ocean and dolphins. The hot tub was nice and clean. There were a few good restaurants in the area that you could walk to if you wanted. Overall all really nice place😁

Great location right next to the beach. Easy access to restaurants and attractions. The ymca passes were a nice bonus. Extended out stay by a day and the prices was easy and communication was good. Only negative was the pots and pans had been put away dirty and the deck had loose railing, loose deck boards and multiple people got splinters walking on it.

Family Thanksgiving Week

Beautiful location, our family have been traveling to Outer Banks for the last four years for the week of Thanksgiving. House was very nice, needs a few repairs. Beds very comfortable and had most all the things needed to prepare meals. Weather was great, nice to have private access to beach. Would stay at this home again.

Awesome Fall Getaway

We stayed with our three month old and two year old. The proximity to the beach was so helpful and the house was a perfect size for us. We sat with the doors opened to the deck and enjoyed the view and the breeze. Something you can’t necessarily do in the summer with the bugs and heat! The house was overall clean though more attention could be given to the bathrooms on the second floor. We will definitely keep this property in mind for future visits.

Perfect

We loved the location. Very peaceful and the beach wasn’t crowded. Great restaurants and one restaurant was across the street. About a two minute walk from the house. Other restaurants are within a 10-15 minute drive. Plenty of shopping close by.

Cleanliness and Safety

Attention to detail regarding cleanliness was not “great”. Hair and dust remained on the shower/ Bath. Also, dirty tissues were left in a night stand drawer. I hate to mention this, but I am not a very particular person, but both issues should not have occurred. Next, please be aware that there are dangling posts on the deck railings. If a young child pushed on the post, it would create a space large enough for a toddler to fall through. (Top deck off of living space.) Overall a great place, but both issues mentioned could use attention.

A Flawless Vacation
