We stayed in a two-bedroom suite, which was a good size for a family. While the suite itself was spacious, it felt somewhat outdated, as did the hotel overall. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing—not outright rude, but rather dismissive. When selecting a hotel, we debated between the Ritz Tiburon and the Edgewater, as both were similarly priced. We ultimately chose the Edgewater based on its stronger reviews, but this proved to be a mistake. The pricing was comparable to the Ritz, but the service did not meet the same standard—not even close. If you are deciding between these two options, I strongly recommend choosing the Ritz brand for a superior experience.

I’ve stayed an Opal Collection hotel in Clearwater and loved it. But honestly this one probably shouldn’t be a part of their chain. It’s a very dated property in a beautiful location. Avoid the indoor restaurant and bar especially for dinner as the service was awful. I think the price is way too high for the hotel. If it wasn’t on the beach you’d be happier at a newer Holiday Inn.
