Communication before our arrival was good. However, when we got there, the owner mentioned there was a key for the cabinet, but it didn’t work, so we were unable to lock the door, which did not feel safe.Then we went shopping for supplies for that week and settled in that evening. Then things started going bad. The first toilet in the main cabin wouldn't flush, couldn't use it, then the second toilet stopped working, the water was at the rim, my husband spent hours trying to improve it so we could use the bathroom, which we only peed, no #2's at this property!. So we had to leave the property to go find a bathroom, and it was late, and the nearest bathroom was far. Came back, attempted to sleep, then the air conditioner stopped working in the main cabin. It attempted to cycle on and off every few minutes, so we turned it off so it wouldn't burn out, and the cabin became very warm. My husband was up all night trying to fix the toilets. And moldy smells were coming from the AC. The next morning, after not sleeping and having nowhere to use the bathroom, we packed up to get out of there. We contacted the owner to explain the situation and let him know we were relocating. He was initially apologetic and said he would submit a refund, so we thought the matter was resolved. However, he later became defensive and accused us of trying to get out of the rental and said, “Karma is a ...........”
