The original unit we rented based on the property description and pictures was as expected - except that the AC did not work. We were told by the property manager (Sothebys) that the AC unit was repaired the day before our arrival. When I told them it wasnât working, the agent said that the AC would have to be replaced and they would have to find us another like unit. Seems that they couldâve handled this much more professionally - i.e., if you knew the AC was a concern, then why didnât they turn it on that day to check it? Our check in wasnât until 3pm - they wouldâve had ample time to figure out that the condo wouldnât be habitable given the extremely hot weather in Naples. The unit they provided was outdated, not as comfortable, and although it had very nice views, was very disappointing. Sofa had multiple stains, water pressure was extremely weak, and balcony furniture was rusting and breaking apart - very unsafe with a toddler in our group. And when we expressed our disappointment to them, they provided a small token credit (and late check out) for our inconvenience. That was very poor service recovery. Will NOT be renting through Sothebys again and would NOT be recommending going through them to other renters.
