I love atlantis and it is a beautiful place. However, this particular stay was not good. Our room had mutliple issues with the toilet stopping up (six phone calls for service), the tv not working right (one call), sweet ants invading our snacks and sodas on the dresser (threw everything out), room service losing our order, elevator breaking, and management not being responsive and calling me back. They did give a $500 credit after multiple emails but they should have done a much better job. It is not a cheap place to stay and play.

It’s like a thin line between love and hate. Love the resort, weather, pools, beach, activities but the service is horrible and the workers had attitude. This might be because everywhere you go there is already a 15% gratuity fee that you must pay when buying something. I believe people there figure that no matter how their service is they will still receive a gratuity tip. I had employees forget my drinks at the bar, multiple employees rolled their eyes at me or my family, being ignored, one didn’t want to give me a plastic spoon for my cheesecake, appears they are forced to work, anytime when asking an employee something they gave attitude. These are waiters, housekeepers, bartenders, cocktails waitresses, gift shops, ice cream store, I mean literally 95% had bad service. Also my refrigerator was not working, reported then it was replace the next day after calling again to only have it replace with another one not working. After I just gave up and did not bother anymore. A couple workers that were nice, the luggage takers, front desk and only one waiter. I mean only one and his name was Kendrick from the breakfast buffet Poisedon at the Royal. The only guy that had a smile but unfortunately it was my last day, I even gave him an extra tip. I don’t think I would ever go back to the Bahamas, I have visited Thailand, Dominican Republic, China, Mexico and Atlantis was by far the worst in service. Felt like I was not welcomed and uncomfortable. Would write more but no more space

The Coral was not what i expected for a four star hotel. The rooms were very shoddy and the hotel needed renovation. It was obvious that The Cove Hotel at Atlantis is the premier hotel and that is where one should stay. The difference in price is not rhat much more. Also the prices for food were very high.

Food is extremely expensive and not that great either. The water that they provide to drink is horrible than tap water. Bathroom is just very nasty. There is a lot of broken furniture and there is no maintenance. Mini fridge was leaking. Do not let the hype fool you. Do not waste your money here. It is just not worth it. Find something else. If you want to use water park, I would just buy a day pass.

We had a scary situation staying on the ground floor. Wouldn’t recommend those rooms if u have young kids. Had i random belligerent guess trying to open the glass door actually broke the lock.

I think the $900.00 deposit when you check-in should be shared upfront when you make reservations at the resort. Also the gratuity should not be added automatic at all times, especially when you make a purchase at certain places in Atlantis resorts. Other than that, I truly enjoyed be there.
