This hotel offered a great location - right in the middle of town. A two minute walk to the quaint shops on Main Street. The breakfast included grits, eggs, pancakes, sausage, cereal, toast, coffee and juices. The room was very spacious along with the bath room. The price was very reasonable. The staff was very accomodating.

The room was clean but slightly dated. It hadn't been dusted in quite a well. It is easy to tell that renovations had been done, but the quality of materials used could have been better. For example, there was patchwork on the wall in the hallway where repairs had been done. The paint was uniforms, but you can see where the repairs occurred. The bed was very uncomfortable. There are three lots to park in. We were told to park in a lot where we had to walk 1/2 a block to get to the hotel. When I peered out of the room window, I noted a parking lot right below. I am not sure why we weren't offered that lot to park in as it was closer. The front desk staff member was EXCEPTIONALLY nice and polite. Her demeanor and customer service friendliness helped to alleviate my slight dissatisfaction with our stay. I expected a better breakfast. The included breakfast was one of the reasons I opted for this hotel stay. There were not many hot options to eat. The scrambled eggs seemed a bit bland. The size of the dining room was large, so it did accommodate nicely all of those who wanted breakfast. It is VERY close to the places to historical gems to see, tour, and shop. The price was fair for the accommodations.

At first this hotel seemed very fancy and clean. Later to realize this was one of the worse hotel experiences I’ve ever had. 1st problem was finding a parking spot. Their tiny parking lot had already filled up and their second parking lot was shut off and there was no where to park. 2nd when we arrived to our room, there were no toilet paper and one of the toilet paper holders were missing. Secondly the shampoo dispenser was ripped out of the shower. Next problem, no tv remote. It might not seem like a big deal but I always play the tv in the background as a noice cancellation and they had none. I called room service about it and nothing could be done. When it was time to go to bed our neighbors were taking a shower and snoring loudly which I couldn’t sleep with so I headed down stairs to grab ear plugs. This is where it got worse. At this point it is already 3 in the morning and the staff lady was on the phone screaming and laughing. In the phone saying something along the lines of I’m going to kill myself. I didn’t mind it but it was definitely disturbing for 3 am. I grabbed the ear plugs and went to buy them so I placed it on the counter with the money and she didn’t even look up or acknowledge me. Kept typing and talking in the phone. Felt very awkward and was getting ready to just leave. They were selling bags of popcorn that you pop in the microwave for 6$!! No microwave in room and had to hunt down a microwave. The cleanliness was also very bad. The room looked like it

Room was disgusting! Thick dust, splatter on many walls, shower was just nasty, air conditioner vents were soooo gross with dust and sticky stuff, and more than I have room to list. Stay away!!! Upon checkin, we were put in a double queen room with parking lot view BUT had booked a king suite with historic city views, since this was supposed to be a treat passing through. Was never told anything about the switch, but when we went to the room and saw the mistake, we headed to the front desk and was told they didn’t have the other room so they moved us…something we could have been told upon check in and paying for the room. We didn’t notice how gross then room was until late at night because we dropped our luggage to the room and immediately headed to dinner and a river boat ride for the evening. We noticed the ick after a long day of travel and long evening of being out, so we stayed. The next morning we saw how bad it actually was with daylight as well. Reported it to front desk along with many pics of the disgust and was told we would be contacted by a supervisor, but I’m not holding my breath! This room looked like it hadn’t had a proper cleaning in YEARS! I did write in the filth using a qtip, so hopefully the cleaning staff will notice it and actually clean it for the next unsuspecting guests!!!
