Teacher Retreat

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at this beautiful beach house. It is very spacious and beautifully decorated. It is located right on the beach. We enjoyed the breathtaking sunsets!

We had an awesome stay at Big Daddy's. There were 22 of us, ages 1 to 84 yrs. Beautiful house and deck. Outdoor shower to rinse off after being on the beach. Clean and comfortable.

Loved the location and the house. The only thing I would improve on in the listing is to show a floor plan of the house. The beach and water were perfect! I loved the lack of people on the beach by us.

Great Vacay

This was one of the best vacations that my family has had together, probably all time. We have been coming to the Gulf Coast (mostly Destin) since 1987 ( we have only missed 3 years int that time frame), but this was by far one of the best. The house was perfect and just steps from the beach. It was clean and well furnished for a large group. Blue Moon did a great job of getting us in and they were very responsive if we had a question and they checked on us regularly. I would and will definitely stay here again,

The layout was perfect for our large family and the views were outstanding! The kitchen was extremely well stocked and has lots of room for large groups to gather. The house had all the amenities we needed. Very easy access to shopping destinations and attractions on the beach or on the mainland. We enjoyed walks on the pier to observe dolphins, fish and sea turtles. I would recommend this property for large families and groups with children. We hope to visit again in the future.

The kids/teens loved the upstairs living area and felt they had their own private place to stay. The house was neat and clean and had everything we needed. It was perfect for our family gathering.One minor issue: the shower in the upstairs bathroom did not work; apparently the faucet was painted over and you could not turn on the shower lever.

Reviewer Comments: My extended family has staying at this particular location several times over the years when it was managed by companies other than Blue Moon. What a positive change!! The house is very comfortable and has all the amenities needed for a large family. We had one issue due to the freezing weather which was fixed within a couple of hours of my calling. Blue Moon staff is very responsive and courteous. The beach is gorgeous and there are awesome sunrises and sunsets! I would definitely recommend Navarre Beach and this particular property to anyone looking for time away with family.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The moment you walk in the door and see the "emerald green" waters, your vacation begins! No crowds in front of your beach house, it's like your own private beach, even during Memorial Day week. Always had a quick response from Blue Moon Vacation Rentals, very easy to work with! Great lay-out with upstairs and downstairs living areas. Our group was 10 adults and 7 kids, ages 3 to 11, and we didn't feel crowded at all. Something we didn't expect, was the fun that the little ones had, playing in the sand and finding shells in the area next to the stilts,(under the house), which was mostly in the shade. And the outdoor shower (hot and cold water) was so helpful! We also rented 3 "Cool Cabanas", which were delivered and picked up by Barefoot Beach Equipment Rentals.

Reviewer Comments: We love Navarre Beach, and on paper and in the photos, Big Daddy's seemed to fit the needs of our family as far as floor plan and bedroom allotments go. The house was clean, and had plenty of kitchen items and all of the things that we needed to enjoy our stay. However, they have replaced the floor on the main level with gray plank flooring, which is poorly installed and has gaps visible between the planks. When we opened kitchen drawers in the island there was a mildewy smell. The bathrooms, though clean and useful, are older and small. I just feel like, for the price they were asking, that the house was not comparable in quality to others we've stayed in. If you're going to ask that much money, pay a professional who will do a good job installing your floors and don't have a loose outlet at the base of the kitchen island.
