If I had to sum up this place: amateur hour. The unit is extremely outdated and hasn’t been properly maintained. It would take a full renovation just to bring it up to early 2000s hotel standards. There was visible dust, cobwebs in the windows, and even millipedes in one room. One bathroom wasn’t clean, and there was mold in the fridge lining. The décor looks stuck in the 70s or 80s. The pull-out couch had sheets but no blanket. TVs are ancient with no streaming—just DVD players and basic cable. The “welcome packet” was a bunch of old printouts in an envelope, not helpful.. Check-in was chaotic: our unit wasn’t cleaned, then we were given a different one—only to discover someone was already staying there. We had to go back to the office to get a new unit. It worked out in the end, but after a 6-hour drive, that’s a frustrating way to start a stay.On the positive side, the grounds are nice. The lake and scenery are peaceful, and the porch has a nice view (though it needs a good power wash). Security is present, internet is decent, and the community center has pools and tennis courts.Still, the lack of cleanliness and modern amenities makes this a place I wouldn’t recommend. With some care and investment, it could be better—but as it stands now, I wouldn’t stay here again.
