Our stay at the Eagle's Nest managed by Vacasa had both highs and lows. On the positive side, the house was clean and comfortable, although the furniture was a little worn down in the living room. Additionally, the beach was a very short walk, and easily accessible for all members of our family. The golf cart was very helpful to have as well, making getting all of our things to and from the beach easy. The kitchen was not supplied well with basic items needed for daily use. This includes measuring cups, food storage, and a coffee pot. Overall the kitchen is very nice. Finally, and most significantly, the first floor (main) bathroom toilet never worked throughout our entire stay. It would not flush. In a house with 9 adults and 2 children, a functioning first floor toilet is essential. We contacted Vacasa right away, but they were not able to get someone out to look at it for 2 days. Even then, the issue was not resolved due to an unforeseen plumbing issue. We started to notice an odor, and when help arrived again (after 2 more days), we were told not to flush the toilets and that someone would be out first thing the next morning to fix the pipes. After a night of 11 people using toilets that could not be flushed, help finally arrived around noon. At this point we were told that the septic tank was full and needed to be emptied. Unfortunately, we had to leave our vacation early as this was not a sustainable situation.I thought Vacasa did their best considering all.
