Staying here for one night was ok. We paid a budget price and got a budget room so it was pretty much as expected. It is more like a motel than a hotel in how it looks. The washroom was SO strange. The toilet and tub were in one room and the door swung inwards in front of the toilet. If you left it open, you couldn't get to the toilet paper behind the door; to close it, you had to be standing out of the way and almost IN the tub. Then you had to exit to wash your hands in the sink/countertop space, which had no place to hang a towel. The only towel rack was small and directly over the toilet (yuck). Old bed, old pillows, old carpet. The a/c needed to be dusted inside and when the curtains were closed they hung over the a/c in a way that all the cool air went up inside them and not into the room. The window sill was too narrow to hold back the curtains with a book or something. Good place for a quick and cheap overnight. Otherwise, meh.
No sink, paper is across from toilet behind the door, so tiny!

Check in was slow with a new hire who couldn't figure it out. Elevator was possessed... Wouldn't start then didn't stop at correct floor. Key didn't work. Entered room and the carpet looked as though it had been salvaged from a flood with two ripples about six feet long causing a tripping hazard. Good bed and linen. Breakfast was a joke. No coffee, no eggs, no bacon just hash browns. Eventually eggs & bacon were replaced but no coffee came. I was looking forward to staying because of reviews. My experience didn't match the previous reviews

Great staff and service but the room a/c unit filter was beeping for not cleaned and unit wasn't functioning. The ceiling facing the wall had clear signs of damage likely due to renovations. Would have expected staff to check rooms for mechanical or visual problems prior to re-opening

I thought it was a quaint inn from photos but it’s actually a big hotel. It was okay stay but not anything fancy. Beds had stiff/hard sides which caught our legs off Gaurd. No overhead lighting and room kind of dated and dark. People are nice and the breakfast was awesome! I’d stay here again.

Big regret. Won’t recommend to guests with dogs/ kids. We were put in the basement with all dog families. By mechanical room/housekeeping office/storage/laundry. It smelled of old, hot urine. When I complained the front desk girl said "Yeah, I try not to go down there." I said I wish I didn't have to either. She looked at me dismissively &said my receipt will be emailed. The bad: The room: on arrival we found brown smears on the toilet seat &back/front of washroom door. All easy to remove with disinfectant I got from hotel so obviously they never wiped these surfaces when preparing the room. They offered to clean after I complained but I didn't trust them. The spray didn't work on black mold around the tub. The carpet was sticky, stained &ruined our socks. The ice bucket smelled of old period blood. There were different splatters on walls. I didn't clean those because I didn't pay hundreds to clean. The hallway: carpet had dark marks. On first night we woke to our dog reacting to chaos in hall as staff tried to control a very smelly flood. After that it smelled like a dirty public toilet. The pool: moldy &scummy. The water was dirty as obvious by the excessive chlorination. The ceiling was damaged &crumbling from moisture. We booked this hotel because of the pool but it was gross. The good: Front desk staff couldn't check us in early but gave great suggestion to take our toddler to Victoria Park. Free hot breakfast was acceptable. Staff in breakfast area were exceptional.

The toilet wouldn't flush properly, the fridge wasn't working, they had a leak somewhere, so they were vacuuming all night long.. all we could smell was the chlorine from the pool, the laundry and cleaning facilities were arrayed across from our room. So we heard staff at seven o'clock in the morning, spoke to the manager upon checkout, and they didn't really seem to care.And did not even apologize
