Overall it was a great experience. Only issue we had was the pool hours when itâs 95 plus degrees out. I would have liked to know that prior to booking that hours were 12-5. Tabitha was very prompt with communication and assistance with any issues. She allowed an early check in as well.
The host was there to greet us and went over things in the camper. She was very nice!! We took our pit mix dog and she was very accepting of that. I would definitely use this host again!! The camper was super cute and the pond was a peaceful place!! We went to the Shenandoah Cavers and to Cooters restaurant!! A wonderful visot!!
We celebrated our 48th anniversary and unplugged from the media for a few days. We enjoyed the towns of New Market and the battlefield, Luray. Luray caverns and we were able to take our dog in Jackson's corner Cafe. The workers loved Zorro. We would recommend Tabatha as a host would stay again for sure. Thank you Tabitha
Tabitha was a great host. Very nice and quick to respond to questions and messages. " The Catch" was just as I pictured and hoped for in a cozy little Airstrem country mountain getaway. I loved walking around the property also. The outdoor shower was fun and the pool was great on a week Spring day.
The rv was really cute, and cozy. Sadly it rained both nights so we didnât get to use the yard or fireplace but the indoor fireplace heater was a great substitute. The only thing I was disappointed with was I saw there was a tv in the pictures but when I got there it wasnât there. Luckily I had my iPad and was able to use my phone as a hotspot. But all in all it was a great experience.
Glamping in an Airstream at the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains sounded like a dream come true to me. Add a fish-stocked pond, some bull frogs & a million twinkling stars in the moonless sky & you could have convinced me that I had died and gone to heaven. Tabatha our Host, was the epitome of Southern Hospitality and she's a dog-lover. That made my adult son happy because his 12-yr.-old. fur-baby was traveling with us. Tabatha did everything to ensure that our stay was absolutely perfect. I got the biggest kick out of our 12 yr. old ESA dog, a yellow lab/basset hound mix.. On our last trip to the car we allowed him to follow us "off-leash" to the car. As if to show his appreciation, he flopped down on the grass & rolled around on his back, all 4 feet in the air!! I could almost hear that tune, "Almost Heaven, West Virginia. Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River..."
Thanks, Tabatha! Until next time.
Really cute space with good views all around. The space was very clean and inviting, and felt like we had good privacy even with all of the windows open. We would definitely stay again!
We fulfilled our dream of staying in an Air Stream RV! Such a wonderful site, the pond with turtles, bull frogs, fish, and ducks is right in front of the deck. The ducks stopped by each dusk to say hello. We also did some birding from the deck. The site is within driving distance of 2 National Parks, a cute ice cream stand, and lots of good food. Tabatha is a great host. We enjoyed our stay, immensely. Thank you, Tabatha!
This is a great property in Luray. The host was amazing and there to answer any questions we had which we never did because the host did a great job of explaining everything. The airstream was great, deck right on the pond. Outside shower was the best.
This amazing property is like a hidden gem in the hills of VA. Taby the hostess was very friendly, thorough and nearly instant in communication. The adorable airstream was cozy and perfectly apportioned for your stay. We enjoyed time on the deck with the fire and grilled dinner on the weber. Enjoyed a great hike on Stoney Man trail in the National Park, so the super comfy bed was a great end to our day. Would highly recommend!
Slice of Paradise Outside Shenandoah National Park
I just got home from my first, but certainly not last, trip to The Catch. My daughter asked for a camping trip to Shenandoah for her 14th birthday! I suggested doing this Airstream instead, and she loved it!!!
Such a peaceful and relaxing property! The bed in The Catch was extremely comfortable! Being able to sleep while hearing the peaceful night noises was simply magical!
Iâm sad I didnât take advantage of the outdoor shower, but it gives me a reason to come back!
Taby is such a gracious host and was quick to answer any of my questions. She has a passion for showing true hospitality.
I loved the entire vibe of the property and look forward to returning!
Taby was a wonderful host and we had a lovely stay. The property was perfect for the little getaway and the area had everything we needed, nothing was too far away. Very safe and did not have any problems finding the place. Would definitely return!
Thank you for your hospitality! The Airstream was perfect for my husband and I with lovely views of the pond and surrounding nature. The property is very quiet and peaceful with easy access to the Airstream.
The most perfect little boho airstream situated on a beautiful property with mountain viewâs and a stocked pond right outside the front door. Taby, the host, is so friendly and thoughtful. We even woke up to homemade banana bread the first morning left outside the door. She checked in several times to make sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable and was so nice to chat with. I loved hearing how The Catch came to be as it turns out Virgin River on Netflix was the inspiration behind it and that is how staying in an airstream got on my bucket list!
Also just to note, The Catch is located close to several charming small towns. On the day of check in I suggest coming to town early and enjoy walking through one and visiting the local shops and cafes. Woodstock VA is one I highly recommend! Lunch at the Woodstock Cafe is incredible and you can slip across the street to The Buttercup Boutique for a lil shopping!
Lucky for us The Catch is just a quick 30 minute drive across th
We stayed one night and left early. The host was wonderful and the place was clean. The main issue was the bed which is a queen sized mattress was very uncomfortable. We were told toilet paper could not be flushed but instead had to be thrown away. Even though there was a fire pit and is shown full of wood we were informed wood was an additional charge. Lastly there is a cleaning fee but you have to empty the trash yourself. None of this was in the description of the property. There is no wifi offered either.
Host was extremely sweet and welcoming, the airstream was adorable, clean, and comfy, loved the firepit and kayaking around the pond, going to sleep and waking up to sounds of nature. Great location to stay at if visiting shenandoah state park and the caverns.
