Indeed, it is without hesitation that we would rent in the same place. We had the chance to chat with the owner, and he took great care of us. If something was missing from the house, we just had to let it know. Which, in fact, was not really the case. I also liked the location for the proximity to the tram.
The place was nice, but the beds were defibrillator different from what was pictured. Still comfortable, though. My biggest issue were bugs. In the kitchen, in the bathroom, even one in the bed in the first room. I contacted the owner, so hopefully they've got the issue resolved, but it definitely affected my mood and the comfort of my stay.
We came for a FB game. The trolley system was convenient and fairly easy to figure out. The set up of the house with having to go through bedrooms to get to the others was a little different.
Genesis was very helpful and quick with responses on any issue or concern that was brought to his attention. We had an issue with plumbing early on in the trip (not the fault of the unit) and within two hours, had crews out to fix the issue and the city out within 4 hours. Would recommend 10/10.
The host's responsiveness and friendliness were great! I was ill and they kindly allowed an early check-in. They also came over immediately to fix a beeping smoke detector. The neighborhood was quiet and we loved the location. We walked to the art museum at City Park. Being only 1-2 blocks from the street car allowed us to rake public transportation to the French Quarter, Uptown, and Garden District.
The house was amazing. the property was in a neighborhood with schools amazing restaurants that were figured on the food network.Diners Dive in and Dives! The neighbors were friendly it was so close to the trolley line that it made Day trips and grocery store trips easy and pleasant. We were able to see a highschool football game as well to take a 15 minute trip into historic downtown New orleans.l would recommend this property to my friends and family as well as couples looking to get away and have a getaway with history and nightlife.i would give this a five star in many ways if want to enjoy New Orleans I would book This shotgun house,I will again
I may have overlooked it in the listing, but all the rooms are interconnected, requiring one to pass through each one to reach the front or back, which made accessing the bathroom at night quite difficult. I would not choose to stay there again. However, I must acknowledge that the management was responsive, although the check-in process could have been smoother. We were permitted to leave our bags earlier than check-in time, but were informed that the property was not yet ready. However, it appeared exactly the same at 4:00 p.m. when we could check in as it did when we dropped our bags off at 1:00 p.m., with no noticeable changes or additional cleaning.
TV did not have batteries we had to get some to get one to work and coffee pot is old and antiquated (Mr. Coffee). We could not remember how to use it and it made a mess. We were also bitten by some type of bug within the apartment.Loved the location.
Great location, a couple blocks from some great restaurants, and a 5-10 minute trolley ride from the heart of Canal and Bourbon. Any time I reached out through VRBO, the response was prompt and professional.
Great location! One block from tram. Was worried about parking but parked right in front of house. Nice and clean. Beds comfy. Only issue was the futon was not comfortable it sit for long. But otherwise perfect.
We arrived and walked in and looked around and left immediately. The bed mattresses were very thin and they have a van car seat supported by 2x4 legs holding it up as a couch in the living room.We also felt if you went outside after the sun went down you may get robbed.
Genesis was quick to respond to any questions or needs we had during our short stay! The location was conveniently located within walking distance to the street cars for us to save on parking at the French Quarter!
