The character of the hotel and the knowledgable and friendly staff are a standout. It was a pleasant stay- We will return. Location was great for walking. Carpets are a bit worn as are some of the furnishings. Bed was very comfortable .

Very happy we chose this hotel. It’s a beautiful old hotel with tons of character. The Criollo restaurant is great for breakfast. (Great oatmeal when you’re tired of heavy eating!) The Carousel bar is really fun and unique, with great cocktails. Our room was in the new tower section. Super clean and comfortable and well-serviced daily. No view at all though, but we were out most of the time. Michael the bellman was great—so kind and friendly. Juliajoy at the front desk was also very helpful and sweet. Did I mention location? PERFECT location in the French Quarter—you can walk everywhere from here. I’d definitely stay here again.

Hotel Monteleone truly captures the charm and soul of New Orleans. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and taken care of - professional, friendly, and always ready to help. The hotel itself is stunning, with elegant historic details and a warm, inviting atmosphere that perfectly blends classic style with modern comfort. Our room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully decorated, offering great views and a peaceful retreat after a day exploring the French Quarter. The Carousel Bar is a must-visit - lively, iconic, and the cocktails are top-notch. The location couldn't be better, just steps from great restaurants, Bourbon Street, and local attractions. Overall, Hotel Monteleone exceeded all expectations. It's more than just a place to stay — it's part of the New Orleans experience. Highly recommend and can't wait to return!

We had a wonderful stay for my daughter's 17th birthday trip to New Orleans. The staff was so helpful and accommodating every time we asked a question it was if we were the only guest on the property. We had a blast!

May have just been the one day we decided to have breakfast at the hotel restaurant. After waiting quite a while for it to arrive, the eggs were cold, the biscuit was dry with no offer of jelly, and the bacon was burnt. The waitstaff were lovely but busy and therefore not as attentive as they could've been.

Needs a little spruce and more staffing in the bar

This is an older hotel. I would love a smart TV and more bar options. The carousel bar is understaffed and overcrowded. So we couldn’t get any service there. The room is fine, but the tub/shower head a bit outdated. I was expecting a bit more. Nothing some modernization cannot fix!
