I was really disappointed with my recent stay. The lobby looked nice, but the rooms were a different story. I traveled from Miami for a business trip to coordinate a Sweet 16, arriving on Thursday morning. Unfortunately, the front desk host, Kierra, was quite rude when I asked about the extra $372 charge, especially since I had already paid through Expedia and was told I only needed to pay $52 upon arrival. On top of that, parking cost over $50 a day, plus a resort fee and a $150 deposit.
When we entered the room, we were greeted by a roach crawling on the floor. It looked like it hadnât been cleaned in agesâdust everywhere, a stained rug, and a refrigerator that didnât work. I expressed my concerns to Kierra, but she promised to send maintenance and never followed through. The only redeeming factor was the location, which was convenient for restaurants and shopping off Canal, but the free breakfast was terrible.
I usually stay at the Marriott on St. Charles during my trips to New Orleans, but I made the last-minute decision to try LaQuinta this time and completely regretted it. I wonât be staying here again.
