We actually went with my husbands brother and mom so we had an opportunity to experience two rooms. When they checked us in, the clerk was rude and not welcoming at all. Our room had a standup portable ac unit. The room was hot when we got in there because the unit was not working. Because this unit was in the room, the window had to be open to put the vent there. The vent didn’t fit exactly like it’s supposed to therefore our window had a significant crack letting all the cool air out. With this situation, this meant we could hear EVERYTHING that happened outside all night long so we were not able to get a good nights rest. Then the bed was hard and the pillows were so thin that it was uncomfortable. There was no mini fridge, the bar in the closet to hang your clothes up was not there and the lighting in the room wasn’t the best. You could tell they just painted so they must be trying to renovate. The door in the bathroom had a piece of wood glued or screwed on there to cover I’m assuming a hole (that’s no big deal). There was no room phone to reach guest services. My brother-in-laws room was hot when we got in there. His air conditioner wasn’t really cooling well. He had to go down to guest services to talk to the desk clerk because their room didn’t have a phone as well. He was told the maintenance guy would be by. When he came in, he said he would let the clerk know but they never heard anything else. The beds and pillows were like our room.

The original room I was assigned was not made when I arrived. When I returned to the front desk, staff was very friendly and immediately provided me with another room. The other room was clean and well-made, but it did smell of cigarette smoke. I am unsure what the smoking policy is at this motel. However, the parking lot next to the building seemed very secure and consisted of a tall iron fence with a card-activated gate. Overall, it is a budget stay in New Orleans that is fairly safe and close to popular attractions.

The manager at the desk had a bad attitude. He did not want to help me like he was supposed to. I was trying to figure out how can I get the money back for my room and he just had a nasty attitude. He was cussing at me and everything.
