We are located in the Historic Faubourg Marigny, only two blocks from the French Quarter!

We have three lovely, private suites, each with an en suite bathroom. This listing includes all three suites. To rent individual suites, please send a message to the owner.

You will enjoy the diverse charms of our Marigny neighborhood and the easy accessibility to Frenchmen Street and the French Quarter. Our 1838 Creole Cottage has been lovingly renovated and updated to provide you with an authentic New Orleans experience. Walk to local bars, restaurants, parks, music venues and the many attractions of this historic city.
Owner Betsy Rayner lives on the premises, with her basset hound Mabel. You will be greeted each morning with a croon and a tail wag.

Generous continental breakfast is included in the rates.

The backyard deck and pool offers a relaxing beginning and end to each of your days in the Big Easy.

IMPORTANT: Guests have use of the dining room, deck and pool, but NOT the kitchen. As a licensed Bed and Breakfast, we offer unique and personalized hospitality, unlike owner-absent housing. We will be as responsive and helpful as you wish, all the while respecting your privacy.

No off-street parking is included with this property. Unrestricted street parking is readily available.

We had an amazing stay at Chez Palmiere. Betsy is an awesome host and made sure that we had everything we needed, including fresh coffee with a lovely breakfast each morning. Located in Marigny, we were walking distance to the Quarter and Frenchmen.

We had such a wonderful stay! Betsy was so warm and friendly. She had a lovely continental breakfast and coffee available for us each morning. We sat on the back patio by the pool which was so nice. The house was so clean. The decor was beautiful. It was a great location. We were able to walk to the French Quarter easily. Wonderful memories made. We will defintely be back!

Space to spread out and amenities!

We stayed with Betsy for three nights with our family of five and it was perfect. Easy street parking and walking distance to French quarter, very cute neighborhood. Betsy spoiled us with her freshly baked pastries every morning was something different. My husband raved about her coffee. The fridge with snacks and drinks for us was hugely helpful for travel with kids always hungry. The pool was perfect for afternoon cool off. Mabel was a sweet friend to have nearby. The beds are EXTREMELY comfy, some of the best I’ve experienced via VRBO. Having all this, three bedrooms and three bathrooms to spread out madeOur stay extremely comfortable and an excellent value. Highly recommend!!

Can’t praise Betsy enough!

My friends stayed with Betsy while attending my daughter’s wedding….they loved everything about Chez Palmiers, especially the host, Betsy, who they absolutely raved about her every time we met up. I had the pleasure of sitting with my girlfriends by the pool, drinking and eating beignets and Thai food. What a lovely respite in the Big Easy! Thank you Betsy!!

Authentic New Orleans

The old Creole cottage was a perfect location near the French Quarter with a true feel for old New Orleans. Betsy is the perfect thoughtful host. She made a King’s Cake for us to celebrate the Mardi Gras season and share tradition.

Awesome Base

Perfect for us 5 adults in town for Bears/Saints game, walkable to northern entry to FQ and also Frenchman Street..the seperate rooms were great for privacy and the courtyard/pool for hanging out Betsy (and her adorable dogs, Mabel and Maude) were there to meet us every morning and the continental breakfast was a nice start to the day!

Charming property and host!

Our family group of 3 couples stayed and loved the B&B. The 3 guest rooms are themed and very nice. The old house is very cool and there is a nice backyard with pool. Breakfast was good every morning. Betsy is a sweetheart and it was like staying with a friend!!! We will be back!!

We had a great time in Nola! Loved Betsy’s house. She was very nice and we loved her dogs. They were very friendly. Bourbon street was a little further away but Frenchmen street was pretty close. We had never been to that area and really enjoyed it there. We would stay here again.

Great experience

We rented out all three rooms in the B&B. Our group consisted of 7 adults, family and friends. The atmosphere was very comfortable and friendly. The decor was fun to look at. We enjoyed having a pool at our disposal. Betsy was more than accommodating. She always made sure we had what we needed. There was coffee, fresh fruit and other breakfast items every morning. The location is about a 20 minute stroll to the Quarter. We did Uber a couple of times because we were dressed for fine dining. We enjoyed having Mabel and Marge, Betsy’s two basset hounds for company on occasion. She’s very clear though if you are not a dog person, she will keep them from roaming. Would definitely rent again.

The perfect poolside stay for a group!

My friends and I were a group of 9 and had a great stay here. We loved the location, and the pool was the perfect way to cool down in the heat and lounge between our explorations of the city. We booked the whole house, and as the listing described this meant privacy everywhere except the kitchen/dining room area. Betsy was incredibly responsive and helpful leading up to our stay and during. We had some dietary restrictions and she was so accommodating and am amazing baker - the continental breakfast was a highlight. We enjoyed the casual atmosphere of the bnb. The dogs are indeed present so just a flag if anyone in your party has allergies. The bnb website (chezpalmiers.com) gives a good sense of the themed rooms. This was really the perfect place for our stay - thank you for everything Betsy!

Great B&B experience

This was a perfect place to stay for a weekend exploring New Orleans. Walkable to many attractions, easily accessible by road, and a little outside the most crowded areas (but not too far).
