Food left in fridge (with odor) - insufficient convenient outlets to charge devices (need to add to bedside tables) - no dishwasher - host left out 2 towels total for 2 people/ 2 nights. We asked for more, which were provided along with a message that said âdo not abuse privilegeâ- yikes. It felt a little like someone was living there when it was not being rented as a vrbo
This is our second time staying here while visiting our son at Xavier. The location is great and close to shopping, restaurants etc. The house is charming and very clean. The host is quick to respond. We will definitely try to book here again in the future.
This well-maintained home is near to all the places we needed to visit on our recent stay in the Cincinnati area, & is only 1/2 hour from CVG Airport as well. Convenient, tidy and charming. The details of the woodwork in the home are beautiful. There is a back deck overlooking a small garden that we also enjoyed.
Great place! Very clean and spacious, exactly what we needed for a visit with our daughters at the University of Cincinnati! Itâs an easy 10-12 minute drive from campus
Beautifully decorated home in lovely neighborhood with shops, restaurants, and grocery store within walking distance. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and comfortable sofas in the living room
It was a very nice property. I really liked the back patio and the back yard. A lot of flowers and a great shade tree with a bench. The beds were comfortable. The owners know a lot about Cincinnati and leave lots of ideas for fun things to do while in town.
This lovely home is conveniently located and tastefully decorated throughout. Jeanne was very helpful in recommending local eateries and shops, which are within easy striking distance, some close enough to walk to. We were surprised that there is no dishwasher and only has air conditioning upstairs for the bedrooms and bathroom. It does have ceiling fans throughout.
It was great! It worked perfectly for our stay. Only wish it had been cooler weather so we could have spent time on the deck enjoying the pretty garden. We didnât cook, but the kitchen was well equipped. WiFi worked well. Driveway is narrow, but my small SUV fit in front of the house. The street in front was busy in the mornings, but quiet into the evenings.
I loved everything about this house. It was the perfect place for my father and the family to visit, play games, share meals and unwind. Quiet, super clean and convenient. Will be back!
We are new grandparents and wanted a long weekend near our son's home to visit them , but not be a burden. This place was perfect. We loved the vintage decor and the abundance of local art on the walls. There was an abundance of books and brochures about Cincy and the Oakly area. The backyard garden was in bloom and just stunning. We will definitely be back.
The place is as advertised. Itâs old and charming. (Anyone moving about at night can easily be heard.) I was initially a bit leary of the neighborhood as we arrived after dark, but we were able to walk to restaurants nearby and also walked to Hyde Park and the indoor pickleball center. All good and we enjoyed our stay. Jeanne is very communicative and provided check-in code before we arrived.
Exactly what our family needed for our stay in Cincinnati. I donât have one negative thing to say about this property. Very clean and accommodating. Will be my go to the next time Iâm in town.
The home was absolutely gorgeous and very comfortable! We loved the woodwork, the radiator heaters, the big kitchen sink, both the front porch and the back deck. We walked the neighborhood to breakfast and ice cream and felt very safe, and enjoyed the proximity to so many venues. We may visit again in the fall and we would happily stay here again! Thank you for the hospitality.
The location is walkable and wonderful in the heart of Oakley central in Cincinnati. The area was safe and easy to navigate. The house was very clean and well maintained and we appreciated its historic character. We enjoyed coffee and birdsong on a sunny morning on the back deck.We had a problem our first night when the failure indicator noise on a smoke alarm was going off and we had trouble figuring out what it was. The host was responsive and helpful - which is great!Next time weâre in Cincinnati we hope this home will be available for us - traveling with two young kids.
Thank you to Jeanne for being a great communicator, and for creating such a comforting and lovely home to stay in. The seasonal decorations were incredibly charming. We all enjoyed staying at the property. I imagine in warmer months the yards look very cute as well.
