Unfortunately, our stay at Aloft was pretty average. The lobby which was half-storage for suitcases, was chaotic. Front desk staff was kind. We were given a room on 2nd floor (201) facing the street, over the front door’s awning. The thermostat stayed at 69F and didn’t go higher. It was a a small room in which they had squeezed 2 queen beds. It had a tiny bathroom with no hooks to hang towels or enough shelves for toiletries. Though water pressure was good, it was very cloudy and could not drink it. The beds were comfy but it wasn’t a relaxing room to come back to after a busy day in NYC.

I don’t recommend this hotel at all. It rates at a 9.2 but I would say it’s a 2.9. From the check in to the check out it’s clearly a hot mess. So when you get there before 4pm check in they won’t give you a room which I totally understand and agree, but the big issue is there are no secure rooms to hold your baggage, so what they do is take your bag and store it up against the window with no security measures. How? Are you kidding? You store the bags against a window near the entrance/exit for people to steal?? Dumb… Ok, so now you get your room, which is for two people, only one towel? one high roll tp? no tissues? Ok? So I get it, it’s a busy holiday season, then maybe you need more help? Maybe the Manager needs to jump in and help? Clearly Victor was delayed in thinking of getting people moving into their rooms. Bottom Line… total failure of leadership and management, definitely would not stay there ever again. It’s a shame, oh well.

All of the above. The shower curtain didn't even reach the floor and our bathroom was swamped with water every time we took a shower. The staff was slow to repond to requests and room amenities were lacking. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

We stayed one night in early December. Walkable from MSG and in a safe neighborhood amongst a street full of florists. Lobby was festively decorated for the holiday. Front desk staff was friendly. We were not in the room much during our overnight stay, but we had a city view room and it was a decent size. Bathroom was a bit small, but I find this to be typical for most NYC hotels. Shower wouldn’t get more than lukewarm which was a bummer since it was so cold out and after coming in from being out all day, a hot shower would have been nice. Same thing happened in the morning - shower temp would not go above warm. Hotel kept our bags before check-in and after check-out without a charge which is always appreciated. It looked like they had a little snack bar/bar area which we did not use but good to know it’s there. Close to a subway station. Would stay again.
