Me and my best friend had a lovely stay at Americana Inn! They allowed us to check in early, and the front desk manager guy was so nice too (I forgot his name). We weren't really expecting that much as we haven't tried staying in a shared bathroom, but there's enough per floor and it's always clean. All staff our lovely too, so we're looking forward to stay with them again when we go back to the US. The only minor issue for me was the noise from the street (which I know that there's nothing they can do about it since it's NY), but overall, it was excellent!:)

The room was n good condition and staff customer service was good, I didn’t really like the bathrooms in the hallway or the shared refrigerator/microwave with the entire floor. I would stay here again though!

First time in New York.. Did not realize a “shared” bathroom meant “community”! Hotel staff worked with us and got us moved to a different room! The trip unfortunately had to end early due to an emergency surgery while visiting, and the front desk was so accommodating with everything!

I stayed here for two nights and was pleasantly surprised by the hotel and shared bathroom situation. There are several bathrooms on each floor so I never had to wait and it was always clean. The hotel is very centrally located, which is a blessing and a curse. Not the hotels fall at all, but sleeping was an absolute challenge because of the never-ending symphony of honking, yelling, and sirens outside. If you stay here, bring a sound machine and very, very, very powerful earplugs. But, it was several hundred dollars cheaper than every other hotel in the area. And very clean.
