The Hotel itself is fantastic, great breakfast and ideal location close to the air tran. The neighborhood is not ideal.

My Delta flight was cancelled. Delta wouldn't pay for a hotel, even though it was a CREW problem-- not weather. Hotels around JFK are a fortune. This hotel was around $200.00 per night and it was decent for the money. I took a 15min. Uber to the hotel because it was at night-- however, 2 blocks away is a convenient AirTrain that runs from JFK to Jamaica (2 short blocks from hotel.) I wouldn't walk in this neighborhood at night, but during the day it is fine. The hotel is a Holiday Inn Express so it's NOT the Four Seasons. However, check in was quick and painless (person is behind glass) and the room was very basic but clean. I would stay again if my plane was cancelled and I needed a low-cost, overnight hotel by JFK.
