We are upgraded to a suite! Clean hotel. Great location. Cognac resturant a plus. Negative- we were hit with $57 “resort fee”. Expedia claims all fees are included, but apparently they’re not.

The room was very clean and I had house keeping come and refresh everything daily. The dish washer was a tad bit dirty but it's New York so we ate out a lot and didn't need to was dishes so it didn't interfere with our stay. Overall this hotel hit every box for us! Definitely our new ho to spot!

Wonderful Stay

Overall wonderful stay! My husband and I go to NYC often and this time decided to switch up neighborhoods and stay at 48Lex. Front desk as wonderful. And it didn't hurt we got a nice upgrade. The room was one of the bigger rooms we've had in the city. Super comfortable and wonderful view. We had a voucher for the breakfast which was delicious. Overall wonderful stay and would definitely stay again.

Staff was kind. Area the hotel is in was great. The rooms are tiny and uncomfortable.Not sure if the square footage is accurate. Rooms were old and dirty. Bed felt broken. No hot water at 7a one morning of the stay. Black mold in bathroom shower. Would not stay again.

The room was spacious, quiet and pretty clean. The room description is a bit misleading. I had a premium king and the listing stated there was a coffee maker and bathrobes. Neither were present in my room. I actually choose where I book based on a coffee maker so that was a let down. The kettle and steep coffee aren't the same. Overall I was content with my stay.

I was pleased with this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised with the voucher that I used for breakfast at Cognac restaurant. The breakfast was freshly prepared and good portion size. The room/suite was spacious and had a small kitchen that came in handy. The only inconvenience was that only one elevator was working. A long wait for elevators. I would stay here again.

There was NO hot water. After a long day and night in NYC I think that would be an important amenity. Staff was indifferent during check-in and when I presented the issue regarding the hot water.

Not as pictured. The room was aged and worn. I had a larger room with a sitting area. The bathroom was not clean at all. Hairs on the toilet seat, and I did not want to take my shoes off to walk on the floors, which were so dirty. I was only there 2 nights and not spending much time in the room...Otherwise, I would have left.
