This is a superb hotel, clean rooms fantastic friendly staff, the French bakery next door is superb for breakfast coffee and pastries. the hotel is situated close to subway so trips downtown are easily accessible, at $2.90 per journey the city is totally accessible.. The hotel is close to central park for morning walks, we had a great stay here and would recommend the Belleclaire to anybody visiting this great city..

The General Manager was just amazing - the entire staff so friendly and helpful! Amazing location, French bakery the bomb and the breakfast tickets they give you along with drink coupons so good! Loved our stay and will be returning!

This is the perfect place to stay in NYC if you want to feel like a true local on the Upper West Side. The room was huge by New York standards, and the newly renovated shower was perfect, with fantastic water pressure! The highlight of the trip was Aaron, the head bartender at The Allure Bar. He was so friendly and upbeat that you immediately felt at home, especially when enjoying a nightcap after seeing a Broadway show. Here are my Top Ten Highlights: 1. Location, Location, Location! Just a couple of blocks from the best part of Central Park. 2. Zabar’s nearby! Only three blocks away from the famous New York institution. 3. Free walking tour — informative, fun, and a great way to explore the neighborhood. 4. Easy subway access on 72nd Street — the express 2 or 3 train gets you to Penn Station or Chelsea Market in minutes. 5. $10 breakfast or drink coupon per person at the French bakery or bar, a nice daily perk. 6. Spacious room and super comfortable bed — rare for NYC! 7. Friendly, helpful front desk — always ready to help with printing Broadway tickets or grabbing extra water. 8. Charming neighborhood feel — it truly makes you feel like part of the Upper West Side community. 9. Relaxing atmosphere after busy city days — perfect for unwinding with a drink at the bar. 10. This was our second stay at Hotel Belleclaire and we had a great time. It’s very close to a subway stop, restaurants and parks. The neighborhood is quiet and a nice break from Times Square area. We’ll be back.

We had a great stay. The king room we stayed in was small compared to other places we stayed outside NY. But this can be expected to be with small rooms since it’s right in the middle of town, and built long time ago. The rooms being very close can hear people outside the door especially if they speaking loud. Like that they gave 10$ for each day towards breakfast cafe. All in all a pleasant stay and we just came to sleep in the room otherwise mostly spent time outside.
