Be aware, if you arrive before the check in time, they charge $20 for luggage storage. Staff are not very responsive. I need to call several times and go down to the reception desk to ask for extra blankets.

The floors were very dirty in the while place and it eas hard to get towels replaced.
Very clean rooms, brilliant communication and friendly staff. An hours walk from time square/ New York City centre but lovely walk into the centre. Definitely recommend this hotel.
It seems like this property is still under renovation. The controller for the tv did not work. The lock for the door did not work. The floor in the bathroom was quite cold and did not warm up even after the heat was on. The downstairs vending machines were out of order. For the price I guess you get somewhat acceptable accommodations.
Very nice AC, comfortable bed. Room not too small for the price. Would stay again!!

Staff at the front desk kept charging or trying to charge guests cash only fees for things like deposits that they should be able to put on credit cards and charged cash only fees to hold luggage upon arrival or check out. I have traveled nationally and internationally for decades and have always been able to pay refundable deposits on a credit card and have never been charged a cash only fee for a deposit or to hold my bags for the day before or after check in. The women in front of me did not have cash or an ATM card or a PIN for their credit card. The staff finally let it go which was weird. The guests in front of me were Black and I am read as white by most people so I thought it could have been a scam or that the staff who I read as Latinx could have been racist because they did not ask me for a cash deposit. The two women in front of me offered a credit card for the deposit multiple times but staff refused. However, as I was checking out, there was a couple I read as white checking out who asked to have their bags stored for the day and the staff charged them $35 CASH ONLY. I have never been charged by a hotel to hold my bags before or after checkout that I can recall and I am always given a retrieval tag. The couple asked for a receipt or a retrieval tag after paying them in cash. They staff said they didn’t give either and to just ask for the bags when they returned. IF this is the policy of the hotel, it is ridiculous. If it is not, it is fraud. I won’t stay again.

Basic clean room, nice size. Free WiFi. Tub with shower head. Mini fridge in room, and microwave and ice maker, along with vending machines, available on floor “C, along with tables available to use for meals and snacks Staff extremely courteous. 20 minute walk from Queensbridge F train station and 20 minutes from Queensboro 7 train.
