It looks good on the surface but this place has serious problems—the hotel just hides and pretends nothing is wrong. After 1st night, I found these black specks/things in the bed. I showed the front desk @ they switched our room. We forgot our IPhone charger in the old room. I asked the front desk for help locating the charger, didn’t hear anything so the following AM @ 6, I went back to the front desk. This woman wanted to know why we changed rooms, giving me a hard time & questioning what happened. She demanded photos & said it didn’t look like insects & asked me if the black things were “buzzing or flying around in the air.” It’s not good to wake up and find black things in your bed—whatever it is, it just doesn’t belong there. It didn’t make sense why she was adamant that nothing happened, except this is their normal way of handling such issues—gaslighting. They probably get complaints like this regularly. I asked again about my charger and was told that no one had found a charger in the old room & it was already occupied so they wouldn’t check. Between their online reservation emails resulting in”oops, not found” responses, thr pictures of the lobby not matching reality, hanging up on my 2x when I called, the rudeness of the staff, the cloying pumping of fragrance through their lobby and rooms, to the unwelcome black things in the bed after the first night, it was my worst experience in a hotel.

I booked Family loft for our stay with 2 children. Prior to our arrival hotel sent us a nice welcome asking what we prefer. We asked for higher floor possible. When we arrived at 2 pm room was not ready but Reception assured ask that we have a nice suite with high floor and full mini fridge. When we returned, our room ended up to be on 5 floor put of 19 in hotel. To my surprise we had just 2 joined rooms with completely empty both fridges, no robes nor sleepers. I had to call front desk and after arguing we got couple of bottles of juice and robes. No matter what I was saying about our suite, I was told that that configuration IS the actual Family loft. I could simply book 2 rooms and pay less. After I put my review I got a call from the night manager with apologies and offer for free breakfast. The breakfast we accepted. To our surprise, the breakfast had very limited menu, but my biggest surprise was when we could only order one item from the menu. I ordered an omelet and it came without even piece of toast. I asked for a croissant, ut was told that it’s not included (!) and I would be charged extra. At the end we were not charged, ut when I looked at the website, that breakfast would cost us $135! My suggestion, if you need stay there, do not pay for breakfast. We also was charged $45 resort fee? No pool, no any resort amenities. I guess it’s another NYC privilege tax.

We got accused of something we didn’t even do and I had to pay $400 extra. It was ridiculous. They room look big when it was incredibly small. The only good thing I can say about this place is the rooms were clean but during the day, I never saw one cleaning person so by the end, it was disgusting if it was up to me, I wouldn’t go there personally I will never go there again.

I come here frequently (multiple times a month ) and I get absolutely no increased benefits; upgr thanks or basic salutation - “Welcome Back”, for my investment in their property. While the proximity to my work is fantastic, the experience and offering is lacking. It Makes me want to explore other hotel options. Well, it says it’s four stars. It feels like a three star hotel. And it’s sad as I truly wanted to like this hotel.,

Enjoyed the hotel and its location. Very modern hotel and they also provided free bottled water, coffee and juice in your room daily. The area is an easy 20 minute walk to Time Square and Chinatown/Soho. Would stay here again!
