Disaster stay

This was a terrible stay. It wasn’t a cheap room $600+, had scaffolding all around, the air conditioning didn’t work and had to sleep with the windows open amidst the noise of midtown, had just a single bottle of water in the room, and pillows were rock hard. The doorman was fantastic and that’s about it.

When I turned on the shower...Brown water came out and the drain was semi plugged and slow for the water to drain. At the end of my shower I was standing in 5" of water. I told the front desk and was told that is normal. I was expecting a discount for the inconvenience. I let them know of this issue after the first night of my 3 day stay. I left disappointed. For the money I spent per night, I was expecting better hospitality.

I really enjoyed the Library Hotel. It was small with very friendly helpful staff. They had a lovely lounge floor where there was fresh coffee, water, snacks, fresh fruit available 24/7. The floors all had literary themes and each room a genre within that theme with books galore inside! It was quite charming.
