The Motto is in a great location, mere steps to the heart of Times Square. There are plenty of attractions, restaurants and shops close by, as well as the subway entrance. The rooms are very small, all are only 155 sq ft. I stayed with a friend and we found it lacking in space and amenities: no chair in the room, only a small ottoman. Also, there's no separate bathroom. There is a small space for the toilet, and an adjacent small space for the shower, both have a sliding partition for privacy. My friend and I agreed that the room would be ideal for one person or for an intimate couple. There are four elevators in the building and they worked well to keep the traffic moving. Overall, a nice, clean hotel with very small rooms, which, according to the desk clerk are all the same size.

Fab hotel close to Times Square

Friendly, helpful staff. Rooms are small compared to other places I have stayed but very clean and perfect if you are exploring and only needing a place to rest your head. Aldermans make a great coffee which is located next to reception. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel staff were not friendly.

We had no information about what was offer : 1 Crunch Fitness pass; 1 Citi Bike rental unlimited pass; 2 premium waters. The hotel staff at the reception never sait "hello" or "good morning". Bad experience with the personal of the hotel.

What a great location at a [NYC] reasonable price. My 21 year old gymnast daughter positively LOVED the bunk bed above the double! The bath and shower were TINY…. I get it.. NYC Space…. But I’m a bigger gal. Challenging. And we both disliked the frosted glass that provided little privacy right next to the bed. Overall I recommend.

The room I stayed in was very clean and modern. Location is very central for Manhattan, you can easily walk to Port Authority. And the staff were always friendly and extremely helpful, especially Lika at the front desk reception.

This property is very updated and it shows. We were on the third floor which was surprisingly quiet at night. I would stay here again when I come back.

This is my second time staying here and it’s a great location and great rooms. We have an 11 year old so the queen bed with a bunk bed above is great. The shower/bathroom set up isn’t the best for privacy however. I will say, leave your bags with the bellman at your own risk. it takes an excessive amount of time (this time 30 min) to get them back. Many patrons were frustrated and we nearly missed our train despite giving ourselves plenty of time to retrieve our items.
