I was actually amazed by the comfort of this Gem. room was very spacious, huge TV, comfortable bed and cozy feeling -linens felt soft. Clean atmosphere.

It was fine. Room was clean. Area is not the greatest but nothing to be scared about. Took one star off because there’s no way to turn off heater/ac in the room. None that I saw anyway.

Was looking for a convenient, clean and safe hotel on a visit to NYC for the marathon, and I found it! They’ve got free self-parking that’s constantly monitored, and their rooms are clean and tidy. The staff was professional, courteous and happy to help. It’s also about an 18 min walk to the subway/train stations—perfect for travelers! Very pleased and hope to be back!

The room had been redone but the bathroom had visible mold and the toilet ran for 8 seconds every 22 seconds...which I know because I basically didn't sleep. Despite having pre-paid for two nights, we left after one. Not a great area of the Bronx as well and we didn't feel that safe. on the plus side, the staff was very courteous.
