Gothic-chic escape-where Victorian charm meets modern refinement. It appears to be a renovated multi-level apartment building with a dark hallways and stairwell that runs through each floor. Room and bathroom are small-both areas had minor detail issue ie: fabric damaged on upholstered bed, paint chips on walls, toilet paper holder loose/flemsy, grout needs to be cleaned by the shower door. There’s a cafe w/ “grab and go breakfast,” bar, restaurant, and cozy seating areas. Close to some great shops. I can deal w/cosmetic stuff-only complaint was the staff inside the cafe- there was a particularly RUDE girl (late 20’s to 30’s, jet black bob) whom really seems to not enjoy people or her job. Luckily only dealt with her one morning. Overall-happy with my stay.

Sold as breakfast included while that breakfast means 1 croissant and 1 glass of water. What was worse, it was impossible to sleep all night due to noisy big airco equipment just outside the window, with low frequencies as if a diesel truck was in the room. More rooms have the same issue. Worst night ever in any hotel in my life.

Hotel irself was lovely, room, housekeeping cannot fault. However 24/7 drone of airconditioning from outside units meant sleep was near impossible night or day. Was given earbuds, made zero difference. A lovely hotel, but woyld not book again given based on lowerroof aircon units

This property was far from quiet and we couldn't adjust the heat so it was like a sauna in there. Hallways were loud at all hours of the night, there was an electrical beeping in the hallway and we could hear the people above us. It was not restful.

Great Manhattan location

This is the fifth or sixth time we’re staying at this facility and it won’t be our last but this time was not as good as usual- 2 or three times we were told the complementary bottle of wine would be sent to our room, but it never arrived and unfortunately, my wife was stuck in the elevator for half an hour with only a moderate compensatory discount due to that Nevertheless, it’s a very well located hotel, and is pleasing aesthetically and has a convenient if simplebreakfast supplied in the mornings
