Nonexistent customer service in filthy hotel

The staff of this hotel seem to not have gotten the memo that they are employees. They laugh, joke, around play really loud, personal hip-hop music, never agreed to guests and when asked something almost always respond with its not their responsibility or just no. The staff here gave me two rooms that were not set up for guests, leaving me to lug my luggage to three rooms after a long international flight with no apology. The state of the rooms and hotel is abysmal. There’s only one working elevator, which leaves very long cues. Room service only makes the bed and does not actually clean the room. After a 10 day stay, I was absolutely disgusted to shower or even walk in my room. They also do not give you towels, shampoo or soap and unless you explicitly and repeatedly ask for it. There were unexplained brown, smears all over the wall. Location is good near multiple subways and bed was comfortable

This hotel needs a facelift. Ratty towels and don't expect more than one!, crazy lighting, no bar, no patio, no clock in the room, lumpy pillows and the AC didn't work, room was a sauna.

We arrived after check-in time but they did not know if room was ready or not. There were no towels in the room and they did not arrive until the evening. They know about this but did not advise. If you see reviews of hotel you will see that this happens all the time. There is no cups etc in the room and no coffee making facilities. Half of the elevators are out of order so long wait for lifts. All the bars and restaurants are closed and have been for many years. A lot of the light bulbs in the room do not work. The room is looking very tired with scratches and holes in furniture. It has potential but sadly is let down.

I only stayed for 2 days & was barely there. The sheet had a minor stain on it, the room didnt have an Iron/Ironing board when i came in - but when i requested it, it was provided. The property overall was probably a 3.5/5.

Checked in, no towels or kleenex. Took 2 calls to get towels. Never got kleenex. TP and towel racks loose on wall. Broken light in bathroom not fixed despite request. Desk in room greasy with spots of something sticky. No cups or glasses of any kind (even disposable) in room. 2 of 3 elevators broken, so super long waits to get up or down. Ice machine broken. Was told to try other floors (but that takes forever w/broken elevators!) Rude, unhelpful staff.

Recommended

We liked our room a lot. But the room views vary so be aware. Our biggest disappointment was there is no hot coffee in the room or hotel. This area in WTC is very convenient and safe, and less touristed than much of Manhattan.

In decline…

I read that this hotel had elevator issues and had “fallen” in quality. Since I have accessibility issues I contacted the hotel before arrival. They assured me the elevators had been repaired. 1/3 elevators to the 5th floor and from 5-30 in working order. The room? Dismal, poorly maintained, cheap amenities, with housekeeping banging in the door at 8:00AM regardless of whether or not “do not disturb” was displayed. My phone had higher internet service. #neveragain!

The building itself is ok, the room had issues the bathroom door was stucked. They couldnt get it fixed. They did notnhave towels available and will be dropped after 6pm. Per front desk staff if u need towels right away go to target buy them and we will reimburse you. This was totally unacceptable. When have you seen that the hotel doesnt have towels and to tell their customers to go and buy them thats insane. The property is a bit run down. First and last time i will stay in this hotel. And the front desk staff dont care.

They didn’t have any bath towels. When I called the front desk they said the delivery hadn’t come yet and it was 8 am. I needed to leave for a meeting so I had to air dry.

Convenient location, not worth the price

It was nearly 2:00 when I arrived on a very rainy day after a long trip, and the front desk wanted to charge $50 for early check-in. In fairness, check-in is at 3:00, but under the circumstances and given the timing, that was a ridiculous price and not something that a good hotel would normally impose. Ultimately, they waived the fee and allowed us into our room early because the rooms had no towels (and we were told they wouldn't until 6:00). We therefore couldn't even dry our hands as we got ready to go. After an evening event, there were towels, but we never received washcloths. Only one elevator worked out of three, adding a lot of time to simply getting in and out of the hotel. One set of blinds didn't fully cover the window. Overall, it seemed like every effort was made to cut costs while still charging a lot, which made the experience more off-putting than it needed to be.

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was too awful not to share. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful. The room was filthy with no towels, no toiletries, and it smelled like stale air and mildew. To make things worse, housekeeping walked into our room unannounced at 8 AM, saw us, and just said “oops” before walking out. Completely unacceptable. The bathroom had black mold on the walls and yellow stains on the toilet seat which was truly disgusting. The elevators didn’t work, and when we asked about storing our bags after checkout, they charged $2 per bag, which felt like a money grab considering the state of the place. Save your time and money! This hotel is unsanitary, poorly managed, and not worth a single star.

There were no towels in my room. When I called guests services I was told there will be no towels until next day 10am. I was checking out at 8am as I was there for work purposes. There were not helpful and I told them they needed to find something for me. The provided me with a hand towels. There were also no toiletries. No soap in the sink or nothing in the shower Granted I always carry my own but if you didn’t bring them you had nothing to wash yourself with or dry yourself with. The desk is on the 5th floor and you have to look for the signed that states that when you reach the entrance.

Comfy beds. Mold in bathroom shower, no tissue, and only one bath towel (no wash cloths or hand towels), no ice buckets. No one was at reception and I had to wait to check in. Elevator repairs are needed.
