Disappointing Experience with Parking and Property Maintenance

Our stay at this property was disappointingFirst, the parking situation was a major issue. We were only able to park on the property Friday evening when we arrived. We were told to knock on the camper door if a car needed moved for us to get out. This happened the first morning. After that, there was no clear or accessible parking nearby, which made coming and going a constant hassleSecond, property maintenance was poorly handled. We were told that someone would be arriving between 9–10 a.m. to fix a fan. Instead, someone showed up unannounced at 6:30 p.mThe listing mention that the property includes two other rentals: it did not mention that one was in the basement and the other in a camper parked just off the back porch. This setup felt very odd and not at all what we expected.We originally planned to stay for two nights but ended up leaving after just one due to the stress and discomfort.

BEAUTIFUL HOUSE BUT

THE HOUSE IS BEAUTIFUL ,BUT BEWARE OF THE PROPERTY MGR. 1 HE IS VERY ARGUMENTATIVE. WE STAYED WHILE IT WAS VERY COLD AND WHEN I ASKED TO TURN THE HEAT ON HE ARGUED EVERY TIME TELLING ME HE WAS SEEING THE THERMOSTAT AT 80 MEANWHILE THE RADIATORS WAS COLD TO THE TOUCH . WE HAD TO SLEEP IN HOODIES AND SWEATERS. YOU CAN ONLY CONTACT HIM BY MESSAGING ON VRBO THERES NO PHONE . MY FAMILY AND I WAS DISPLACED BY A FIRE SO WE HAD TO STAY OVER A MONTH SWITCHING BETWEEN HIS 2 PROPERTIES.ONCE HE FOUND OUT MY SITUATION AND KNOWING WE WERE DESPERATE HE STARTED JACKING UP THE PRICE . HE ALSO STARTED MAKING UP THINGS TO CHARGE US FOR
 LIKE SMOKING I HAVE NEVER SMOKED TOLD HIM BURN SAGE HE TOLD ME THAT WAS NOT ALLOWED . HE CHARGES FOR DIRTY TOWELS . LIKE OF COURSE TOWELS ARE DIRTY . THE PROPERTY ITSELF IS AMAZING (EXCEPT HEATING) BUT THE PROPERTY MGR IS SHADY. WHEN I COMPLAINED ABOUT THE HEAT HE THREATENED TO LIE TO HAVE A REASON TO THROW ME OUT AND ALSO GAVE ME A BAD RATING BECAUSE I KEPT COMPLAINING

A little far

House was nice and clean. The owner responded right away each time I contacted him. The only issue we really had was that the house wasn't as close to the City as we thought. The bus went right to Times Square, but it took sometimes up to 1 hour and 15 minutes. Didn't consider the traffic, but that was my fault. Other than that, no complaints.

A Difficult time

we have been renting short term stay and this has been by far one of the most difficult stay. Starting with the ch2ck in process with was extremely challenging. the instructions on the check in message says to press the lock icon with the key pad didn't have. then we received another instructions stating to enter the code and then turn the handle twice, we tried several times and it didn't work. we contacted them through the app and didn't heard from them and have to relay on the other guests from the lower property to communicate with them. A nice lady came and tried to help us, but she couldn't fix the lock . They offer to change it, but the timing would not work for us. We asked for the AC to be lower as we don't have access to control it. The lady said she will pit it low to 68 pero our request, however, that night was hat and the ac never kicked it. When we ask for it to be lower, they said that it cannot be lower than 71 and then another message came in stating it was now lower. They have fan in all bedrooms in the second floor, yet when you turn the light off, so did the fan in two of the rooms. The shared driveway is also an issue because when we came in there were 4 cars parked and no space for ours. We reached out to them for support and they said they will contact the other guests to open a space for us. We also check in with the other guests and we're coordinating with them so that they know we have check out schedule for the next day at ten. the house was clean and the jacuzzi was set up for us after we pay extra feet.We do not recommend this property nor will be staying here again.

The reason why there are no pictures in the front ,because it is in the Hood
 Very bad neighborhood. Someone came to let us in she did not speak English, she was not able to let us in

 the owner of the properly would charge you for the amount of people to use the grill plus the hot tub
I never seen anything like this in my life, I am warning you do not rent this property. Awful one*I wish I could give you zero stars
 Very unsafe, plus dirty in the front yard.. Please understand that this company Vrbo would not help you at all, if you need any assistance. Or if you are not satisfied with this property. Or able to get in his property, this company is a joke!

Overall Ok

I have been Using this App for years, so I some experience and expectations already. Overall it was ok. The check in was delayed for almost an hour because the owner sent us wrong info and could not be reached for some time. Never received some accommodation to fix the issue like a Later check out past the VERY EARLY check out. The property inside was Good, Not great. Parking was a little issue because although it's is listed as a house, the owner rents the basement and a Trailer in the back yard. Which was a a surprise because we have to share the VERY small drive way. Also the hot tub was nice but only one renter can use it, which is weird because it's attached to the house and you can look out the window and everyone can see You. Like I said it was OK, but I have had better experience
