Joa's place is a delightful 1830 farmhouse on a quiet, yet convenient road. My suite was cozy, comfortable and private, decorated with authentic antiques which added to the charm.
We had a lovely stay. Our host was very hospitable. We found our room and the entire property to be clean and comfortable. This would be a good location for someone looking for a relaxing low-key getaway. Our bathroom was private but was down the hallway so just to keep in mind that it is a home with some shared common spaces.
Joan was very pleasant and accommodating. Her cats are sweethearts. We stayed 2 nights and the breakfasts both mornings were great. We also enjoyed the other guests!
Absolutely loved my stay here! It was so cozy and comfortable. My favorite part was having breakfast on the screened in porch in the morning. If I am back in the area, I would love to stay here again!
The breakfasts were superb. We felt we were dining in a fine restaurant on the enclosed porch. There was even music. Joan was very friendly, responsive to all our needs and made us feel at home. Her cat, Chippy was sweet.
If you are looking for a rustic 1800s farmhouse b & b this the homestead is for you! Joan was a gracious host and the breakfast was excellent. Small local town with a few good restaurants and a delicious ice cream stand.
Our stay was amazing. I canât thank Joan enough for having us. Historic home that is well maintained and clean. Joanâs breakfast was amazing every morning and her hospitality is second-to-none! Thank you again.
Joan was so welcoming and helpful. Breakfast each morning was delicious! The Inn and grounds are beautiful with so much personal history. I wish we had more time to visit and see the area.
Joan was a wonderful host, our rooms were warm and comfortable. She cooks the most amazing breakfast. If ever in this area again we will try to stay at her B&B.
A beautiful, charming, and clean, old country home with many updates. Joan (owner) made me feel at home and comfortable. The 3 course breakfasts were delicious and filling enough to last me until dinner. I will recommend this B&B to my family and friends and will definately return myself someday. Thank you Joan for a memorable get away!
Charming farmhouse B&B, former dairy farm, run by lifelong owner, Joan. Guests will feel as if they have found their long-lost grandmotherâs house they have always looked for. Very warm and charming. Great country style breakfasts. Adorable kitties greet visitors. Nice location for easy access to lots of local restaurants and sites.
We loved the old farmhouse; covered porch with rocking chairs and a view of the farmland across the street, wide-plank flooring, creaky stairs with curved bannister. The decor was a little crowded for our taste (lots of knick-knacks, frilly slip covers, heavy curtains) but the hostess more than made up for it with her ready smile and amazing multi-course breakfast. Would stay again!
Joan was a wonderful hostess: friendly, but not intrusive. She was an outstanding cook and presented us with delicious, beautiful and hearty breakfast feasts each morning. Our bed and room were comfortable. Our private (not en-suite) bathroom was kept immaculately clean, stocked with everything we could need. It is homey: akin to visiting a friend's house rather than a boutique. If you enjoy a country home setting, this is it inside and out with farms all around. We liked the easy drive to Beacon and local attractions. A shopping center with a supermarket is minutes away.
This place was just lovely. Our host, Joan, was super nice and accommodating. The property was great. Awesome location. The house is very quaint with lots of character. Her breakfasts were delicious!! I would recommend this place to anyone!
