If you going to have lots of tech, it has to work. TV kept turning itself off, blinds kept closing, the tablet to call reception didn’t work and so on. And when you complain, they just don’t know what to do. The cafe was also not great and the room was really small (and only accessible from one side of the bed as it’s boxed in between walls and the window).

The room was ok in the main however the bed was only accessible from one side and I don’t know what they cleaned the bathroom with but the smell was awful (think hospital bathrooms) and permeated thorough the entire suite. It was so bad we went out and purchased air freshener which didn’t touch the stench, the windows didn’t open and there was no fan in the room. We checked out after only one night into a three night stay, which we have never done before, and checked into a nearby known-brand hotel. The location is fine, breakfast options limited, parking onsite at an additional cost. Nice concept, needs tweaking.

Loved this place. The minute you walk into reception there is this essential oil scent through the entire area....bliss! Staff at reception with check in and check out all wonderful. The room was divine, and completely noise free with good insulation in walls. Bathroom meticulously clean. Top end products for haircare, washing and hand/body balm. Wave activated light and digital switches for blinds, cooling, mood lighting etc...very nice. Bed was like a cloud and a fortress of feather pillows. I would definitely stay again should I ever stay in Newcastle!

the Bar, when we discovered it was very good. Great staff person there but having only one could be limiting if people order food. The Ipad in the room had no information about the bar or Library or that the Hotel had any food options except for a bag of chip and a protein bar. When we asked the bar person about food from there to room he did advise that he ws the only one so no delivery could be done, but after checking your web site it does suggest that this is an option. A little dissjointed, but as a hotel, room, the library and Bar once found was excellent quality, equal to anything I have found in Sydney and Melbourne so you are to be congratulated on that.
