Staff were welcoming and friendly.
Room was clean and tidy , the jug in our room was broken and there were no spare jugs in the laundry room etc , therefore we had to wait for staff to start work for the day before we could get a replacement ( a minor thing but quite annoying).
Overall we have stayed at the motel quite a lot and have always enjoyed it .đ
This really is my favourite place to stay in Newcastle. Its lots of little things, its the lovely staff & the room service, its the easy parking & extended hours of business, its the location & the convenience, its the great facilities & the ease of mod cons including double headed showers & phone & media device plugins & a really good set-up for late night check-ins & security at all hours.
The rooms are modern and clean. Though the actual hotel its self is a bit loud with other guests being loud, but this isnât the hotels fault. Good pub food at the Warners Bay bistro and onsite bottle shop.
There is always one isnt there. Someone who just doesnt have the same repor with customers as the rest of staff. Perhaps its just a brisk manner but when I have a guest at an appropriate hour & they are a bit of a loud talker, I dont appreciate a cleaner knocking very loudly & calling out 'Housekeeping' but by the time I get up & make my way with difficulty to the door, they are most of the way down the hall & werent knocking for room service but just to bark at me to keep it down. There is a reason there are reception staff trained in customer service & every other staff member has displayed polite & tactful skills in informing me of house rules when needed without offending me or unnecessarily making me get up & hobble to the door just to make their point, before flouncing out the door. Like I said, everything else has been great but unfortunately this small but upsetting display of bad attitude has really upset me & I really hope I dont have to engage with this person again before I leave.
It was AMAZING! Love the place. When Im rich Im going to buy into the company, build a penthouse onto the motel & live there. May even put a rooftop pool in for everyone to enjoy. In all seriousness Warners at the Bay is the best all-round stay in the whole area- great staff, value for money, recently upgraded mod cons, easy parking, security concious, family friendly & everything you could want on-site.
I cannot fault the superb standards of this wonderful hub in the heart of Warners Bay. It has something for everyone & its the one place I never feel worried about my safety, my luggage, if I lose a key or if I have a special request. Lately my arthritis has rendered me immobile so the extra consideration from staff to meet my needs has been greatly appreciated & they never make me feel like anything is a hassle. The quality of staff at the motel is met also with the same impeccable customer service at the hotel & restaurant next door.
To the Gems - who swap my dirty for clean & buffer my door with a keen sense of security, a considerate msg about room service disguising a subtle & kind nudge to remind me to eat; & help with the laundry room, & answers to my vague enquiries... yet they never make me feel silly - just in general each & every one of the ladies on staff at the motel make Warners at the Bay such a pleasant experience to come & go from... Their duty of care goes beyond perfunctory pleasantries, with genuine warmth in the energy created & every-effort made to provide top-notch service, stay & sleep with a smile!
Room was nice with great amenities. The soap and shampoo smelled amazing, bed was comfortable. It was a bit noisy in the hallways so bring some earplugs. But otherwise was great!
