Great place to stay nearby to some uni accommodation. Ideal for a short walk to quayside. Room ideal for us, comfy bed, clean and kitchenette for basic cooking if desired.

GNR stay

From arriving at the hotel the staff were brilliant, we were there for the GNR and on checkin we were given a goodie bag which contained goodies for the day. They put on a pasta party the night before the race also only asking for a charity donation. Weve stayed in other hotels for the GNR and never had a hotel look after their guests so well. The hotel location is away from the main areas but still easily accessible and was really quiet. The room had everything that we needed for our stay, was clean and quiet which is what we were looking for, the free breakfast was great too.

Overnight in Newcastle

The reception staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They told us about local activity and pointed us in the right direction. Our room exceeded our expectations. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Its a 10/15min walk into town. They had plenty parking and the breakfast was tops too.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms had everything we needed. We booked 3 rooms as had our adult children with us and all agreed that this is the best hotel we have stayed in whilst visiting Newcastle. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to town and quayside. Will definitely stay there again next time I am in the North East.

We arrived on the train. Hotel is 10-15 minutes walk maximum. Taxis are £7-&£9 from station to hotel (Aug 25). Rooms are clean, spacious and there is a well equipped kitchen. Breakfast has a good choice from cheese/meats, pastries& bread rolls, cereals, fruit,yoghurt & cooked option. Hot drinks are available in the lounge area 24/7. There is a social evening 6.30-7.30 Mon-Wed which is a great idea. If you want foot to cook there’s a well stocked convenience store a few minutes walk away as well as a Sainsbury’s Local. Metro if you want it is next to train station 10-15 minutes walk away. Great value. There is a small gym, for runners the quayside is less than 5 minutes away. Definitely recommend and would definitely stay again. Staff are really helpful and friendly.

Lovely stay.

We love the place. Stopped a few times now and we keep coming back. The staff are friendly and attentive and nothing too much trouble. The rooms are lovely and it’s a mini flat rather than a hotel room with everything you need. The bed was comfortable and it was so quiet. A great hotel.

Room 218 - lovely living room, bedroom and bathroom. Nice and quiet, area out of the Centre but a 10min walk to Catpawcino, which is where we were visiting. I will definitely be back.
