This cozy and comfortable mountain house served as a wonderful base for our mountain hiking trip. Conveniently located near the Blue Ridge Parkway and Linville Falls area, we were just a short ride away from amazing hikes and views. The owner was exceptionally helpful with suggestions and information. Very responsive and a pleasure to work with. The house has all the comforts you would want - outdoor fireplace and grill, spa, and comfortable furnishings both in and out.Additionally, we were a short ride from Banner Elk and Blowing Rock for some excellent food, treats, and shopping. A trip definitely worth making again. We look forward to another visit here soon!
Melissaâs cabin was cozy and great location to so many things! The decor is adorable and now I want to decorate my home in mushrooms, trees, and butterflies! Communication was excellent! I didnât have children with me but itâs definitely a great place to stay with kids.
Beautiful home in a lovely resort. The hot tub was nice, even in the summer, in the evenings when the highland cool settled in. Close to everything. Perfect place to spend a week in the mountains.
This is our 4th time booking with Melissa - our first here at Linville. This cabin is cozy and beautifully decorated and maintained. Several things to do in the area. Pet friendly but very clean home. The area seems very pet friendly too. Melissa was very responsive and helpful from checking to check out. Highly recommend!
I will start with my only negative on this home. The driveway is very small. We had our Ram truck and it fit under the covered parking area. But a bigger vehicle might not fit. That's it. Everything else was so good. The house had multiple reminder notes around it. Which I find very helpful. The kids and I loved every well placed detail. The toy closet was a huge hit. We're hoping to book this home again in the future.
Absolutely beautiful stay! My kids loved thr bunk beds and the toy closet! My husband and i enjoyed the hot tub! Thank you for letting us stay! We will be returning
This property checked every box we were hoping for during our Memorial Day weekend getaway! It struck the perfect balance of whimsical charm, cozy comfort, and a touch of luxury. After a long day of hiking, coming back to the outdoor spaceâwith its fireplace and hot tubâwas the ultimate way to relax.Inside, the home is thoughtfully stocked with everything you might need (or may have forgotten), making it feel like a true home away from home. The decor is unique, inviting, and full of personality. We brought our dog along, and were pleasantly surprised to find pup-friendly touches like dog beds, towels, and waste bags ready for use.The location is idealâjust minutes from wineries, great hikes, and quaint, delicious restaurants. Plus, there are so many amenities on the property we didnât even have time to enjoy fully: pickleball and tennis courts, a peaceful river with kayaks and paddleboards⊠it really is an all-in-one retreat.Weâre already planning our next stayâthis place is a gem!
What a cute little cabin with a cottage core vibe! It has everything you need to stay a week or two. Even though the property is small you feel it's secluded and private and perfectly appointed. It's in a great spot to enjoy all the area attractions, hiking, BBQ spots, craft beers, shopping...the list goes on. It's so quiet there, we slept in every morning! Great place to get away from it all and unwind
This little mountain cabin was the perfect fit for me, my husband, and our dog. It was nice and clean when we arrived. The parking under the awning is a little tight, but we were able to fit our full size pickup under there and open all the doors just fine. The living area is very cozy, and the sofas are super comfortable. 4 dog blankets are provided to cover the sofas so your dog can sit up there with you. My dogâs large crate fit perfectly between the loveseat and tv table. The host, Melissa, has included a log book so visitors can write a journal entry about their stay. Toward the back of the cabin, there are cute bunkbeds and a little room under the stairs filled with books and toys. That room includes the back entrance to the cabin, and the larger bathroom/laundry is connected to that room as well. The upstairs is the master bedroom. It includes an en-suite bathroom with a stand up shower. The shower is a little tight, so I used the downstairs bathroom for showers while my husband used the upstairs one. The closets have plenty of felted hangers to use. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable. There were plenty of throw blankets throughout the cabin. There were many different lighting options including overhead lights, dimmable pendants, lamps, and fairy lights in several rooms. We utilized the picnic table under the overhang outside, had a fire in the outdoor fireplace, and enjoyed a soak in the hot tub. We will definitely visit again! Thank you Melissa!
This place was right in line with me wanting to come to a secluded place with peace and quiet after a day of fishing and meditation. The hosts communication is stellar and made sure all needs were met. Check in and check out was flawless. Quiet, place that made me feel i was alone on a mountain. I would suggest anyone wanting to stay to not hesitate.
The cabin was as pictured. Check in was easy. The hot tub was ready when we got there. We enjoyed finding all the hidden fairy and mushroom touches. The games and computer were a bonus. It was a great spot for day trips to grandfather mountain.
