Pleasant enough hotel with comfy bed and shower over bath. Very apologetic about issue with housekeeping. Strange lighting remained on in ceiling all night so I was glad for my eye mask. Leisure facilities ok but you have to briefly go outside to access them.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bedford Lodge. The staff were welcoming and attentive, the facilities were well equipped and what you would expect at this price point. We made use of the sports club and the bar before heading to a nearby venue for a private event. The room was well equipped with Molton Brown and Tiptree goods and was very clean. We opted for a superior room for more space and the hope of a better room location. The only negative was being woken very early by the bass thud from a morning gym class. I did raise this at checkout and received a sincere apology and money back on the room fee. Overall very happy and we would consider returning if we are ever in the area again. Tip: Ask for a room away from the gym!

Nice hotel, bit pricey

Lovely stay, Helpful and friendly staff, good facilities and room was nice, with lovely Moulton brown products, low points were that the bar and restaurant are a bit small for the size of the hotel, it was raining so no where outside to go, so the bar was packed at 16:00 with race goers (like us), sadly nowhere for us to stand/sit to have our drink. Same for breakfast, restaurant is too small, don’t sit near the buffet if you can avoid it, otherwise people are squeezing along side your table whilst at the buffet. Service was slow at breakfast, but loads of choice on the buffet and cooked options both with lovely ingredients. They forgot our paper we’d asked for at check in sadly and couldn’t go and get one for us in the morning. Like other reviews the bed is incredibly soft.

Beautiful hotel with lovely grounds a stones throw from Newmarket town centre with excellent parking . Professional and courteous staff to greet you and cater to your needs. Our only question mark was that the drinks and food seems a little expensive and the menu felt a little limited

Awkward start but great stay

Hotel is set in nice grounds, waitress and cleaning staff amazing and polite. Check in was a very poor service and resulted in us feeling very awkward, which dampened the start to our stay. Gym and pool were pleasant steam room intermittent. Unable to use the spa as very very limited availability so book early !
