My friend, my brother, and I all came to Wisconsin for the Road America IndyCar race. Only about 20 minutes from the track. After the race we had a great small house with fantastic views to enjoy for the evening. The house has all of the amenities one would reasonably need for a weekend away. The property is beautiful.
From the moment we walked in this property we knew we would love spending our time here. It is roughly 30 minutes from larger towns which was great. The property itself was clean, cozy, and exactly what we hoped for!
We had a wonderful stay at the A-Frame on Horseshoe Lake. It's a sweet abode in a beautiful setting and the hosts are very responsive and easy to work with! This was our second stay here and we plan to return!
good location to the event we went to. Nice setting on the water. Could use some updating. The beds left a lot to be desired especially the downstairs one hardly fit one person and was very uncomfortable. Kitchen area was nice and bathroom was nice but very small.
My husband and I have always been in love with A frame houses. This was set on a nice quiet lake where we could fish and swim.
Spent some time in Manitowoc and Sheboygan and hit up some state parks along the way.
We really enjoyed being right on a wonderful inland lake. We paddled around using the property's kayaks (there is also a row boat but we did not use). There was also swimming and fishing, with NO motorboats! We could watch the sun set over the lake. The folks who live on the lake were extremely nice and friendly, talking to each other and us. We had a front row seat to a very impressive fireworks display put on by the family next door (they told/warned us about it ahead of time).
The house was small but cozy and had everything we needed or wanted. The property around the house was lovely with a deck and a fire pit. A great find and a great stay.
We had a wonderful visit to the beautiful scenery of horseshoe lake. Debbieâs home is a great spot, tucked away from the noisy, bright city where you can be *just* close enough to town, Road America, Sheboygan and Elkhart lake. We found this home to be a great bang for your buck as far as amenities and things to do. They have kayaks, a dock, outdoor seating/ grill, and ample room for a small family.
We did find the bed to be a little small (full size mattress) and there were a couple minor nitpicks but nothing we couldnât live with or enjoy our time because of. I wish we had more time to try our hand at hooking a rainbow trout or two.
The perfect destination for our girls weekend getaway â we loved every minute of our time together in this charming Aframe; clean, comfortable, well appointed, with a beautiful lake view. A chillax weekend together of catching up, nature walks, books and puzzles, hallmark movies, and way too much eating â this Aframe had it all, including three kayaks, had the weather been more cooperative. The host Deb was friendly and available, yet we didnât need to reach out as we had no issues and lacked for nothing during our stay. If youâre looking for a charming chillax place to getaway, without driving all the way to DC or the northwoods, this is it! Youâll love it as much as we did :)
We had an amazing time the house was everything we need to recharge at the end of the day and the property was simply gorgeous. The host thought of every odd and end we might have missed and we loved taking the kayaks out! Would defenitely stay here again!
Great property and view of the lake. We built a fire using the fire pit. The second day it rained and turned cold so we didnât get to use the boat or kayaks provided. Owners are very responsive.
Mom and older teens spent a long weekend. Cabin was super cute and just enough space for 4. The property is on a quiet lake and includes use of kayaks and rowboat. We laid out in the backyard to watch the meteor shower. It was a perfect little getaway.
