Enjoy the Walk into Beautiful NOTL

We weren't sure what we would be facing when we arrived at the Matisse BnB but communication with John was great. He got us settled, gave us gift certificates for a local breakfast restaurant for the 2 mornings we were there, and showed us the best walking route into town. We parked the car and never moved it again until we left, which is how we like to experience a town.

We didn’t like having breakfast away from the house. But when we got there at the golf club for breakfast it was very good. We had a bottle of wine and drank it outside, beautiful, quiet and private.

Really clean, nice room, in an ideal location. John was super kind. One of the intriguing things for me at a B&B is eating breakfast the following morning with the other guests. This was not an option at Matisse, but we did have an option to eat breakfast at a local eatery and the breakfast was fully refunded. There was little to no sound proofing as we could easily hear the guests in the next room.

This was a great place to stay. We booked it because it is close to Jackson Triggs Winery. I wanted to be able to walk to the concert we were attending. Parking was good, our room was small but everything was clean. The bed was good, but the pillows should be replaced. The TV was small and you could not watch it unless you sat on one of the two straight back chairs. There is not breakfast onsite. You have to go to one of two places and send the bill to the owner. He refunds you the cost. I would definitely stay again .

We stayed for 2 nights and would stay again. Pros: spotless, bright airy room, we liked the breakfast arrangement and submitted our receipts to the host who was very responsive and helpful. Lovely garden which was open to us. Bar/ restaurant just next door was good. I didn’t see the washing machine or dryer but I guess it was there. We had a nice few days and would have stayed longer. Cons: the rooms are small and if other people are staying in the other two rooms, you feel a bit conscious of not wanting to make a noise. There is no running water in the kitchen but they make water available to make drinks.

Nice and clean property. We had forget me not room. The bed was firm and comfy blankets. The ceiling fan kept the air conditioning moving. Our washroom was around a corner, and as a warning, the bathtub walls are VERY deep. With arthritic knees showers weren't an option. We didn't use the breakfast option but were refunded the $70. For a one or two night stay, I would recommend.
