The place was exactly as pictured. It was convent for what we needed. The âtwin bedâ is a pull out couch bed. Check in was super easy. It was easy to find. Had no issues. The mattresses were all a bit uncomfortable. Very stiff. But other than that it was a great stay and the host is VERY responsive. The river area is beautiful and the little town area is adorable.
The location was great for Redbud MX. It is a minute walk to downtown Niles. Everything was clean and in working condition with the exception of the beds which are pretty important. The bedframe for the king in the master bedroom was broken and literally held up in the middle with a DIY 2x4 cribbing. The bedframe was one that is designed for curtains so there is a bar blocking the tv while you are laying in bed. The pull out matress had no airpump and was dirty and stained. The springs were all missing on the left feet side of the pull out so your feet just fell through. To the hosts credit they took care of it within 8 hours of being notified at midnight (we only discovered it when the last guests arrived tired from a long drive) and bought a brand new air matress and delivered it to us. They said they were getting rid of the pull out sofa, which is fine for the next guests but things like this should be caught by the host if theyre advertising the pull out sofa as a usable bed. The person who dropped the air matress off was very nice. We really liked the magnetic tic tac toe board on the wall. We loved all the supplied dishware and coffee. The view of the river is great. The walls are very thin, we could hear our neighbors keurig making coffee and their confirmed they could hear us. The common area is great with its own coffee maker, table, and bar seating. Suite had washer and dryer. I feel really bad leaving four out of five stars but the bed situation was not ideal.
This was a nice place to stay. I wish the description included that the units are all on the second floor as some of our party have mobility issues. A few cleaning issues, but overall a good stay. Would stay again.
My husband had an amazing stay. My Husband loved the spot & the area. He stayed the week while out of town for work, he will definitely stay here again.
I came to stay here with my friends and we were instantly enamored with the place. Aside from the easy check-in, everything was arranged in a way that felt organic as well as being aesthetic. The view of the river from the living room was also a highlight. But the best part was how communicative the host was. Whenever I reached out, they were prompt and friendly. This was a wonderful place to stay and we definitely hope to book this place again.
We were in town for a hockey tournament and we're close to all the arenas. We were able to relax during breaks and it was nice coming back to a home setting vs a hotel room.
This loft is spacious, cozy and a great location for Notre Dame proximity. Way better quality for cost. It took maybe 15 minutes to get to campus/parking. Itâs also right by Main St in Niles. We walked to a coffee shop every day. The host is very communicative and responsive. We felt safe and secure. We had some cleanliness issues which we shared with the host. This is the reason for four stars versus five.
This is our 4th stay in Rivers Edge and we have tried each of there apt sizes. By far the best is the 2 bed 2 bath configuration corner unit with full kitchen and views of the river. the unit was well stocked and very warm and inviting. we enjoyed making coffee and relaxing on the sofa in the evening. The bathrooms are spacious and well equipped.
We stayed in a two bedroom with a loft. It is beautifully maintained and spacious for a comfortable stay with family. Convenient quiet location. One thing to note is they do have quiet hours starting at 9pm on weeknights and 10:30 on weekends so it is important to know the lofts do allow noise to travel a bit.
I tried to extend my stay but our dates was taken Very nice by the Riverwalk downtown. Very IRdđ€
So very clean. I'd have my coffee in the morning by the fireplace and Riverview at the Riverwalk behind the building. So nice. Communication was on point if I didn't get through I had a call back in a few minutes. We had one of the 2 BD room 2 bath . Bathrooms was so very nice. Everything as it looks with good people around. So quiet. Own lil apt ..will stay again đđ€
Close enough to campus but could get away from the chaos and unwind a bit. Safe. Nothing around there much. Will stay there again for sure. Closer than we expected and exceeded our expectations all around.
We really enjoyed the space - ample room for the 3 of us that stayed in Unit 1, and the area was very clean and had everything we needed. Walkable to a few local eateries/drinkeries as well, and it overlooks the river/walking path. The accommodations are unique in that it is above a business/not in a neighborhood which was fine for us especially on a weekend when the business was closed. The host was very responsive to any questions as well! Would definitely recommend; the only thing to keep in mind is that the sound proofing on the building is not high - again, not an issue for us as we are pretty quiet and we had quiet neighbors - just something to be aware of if you have a rowdy crew. We were very happy with our stay overall and would return!
We had a hockey showcase at Notre Dame and this place was very convenient to get around the area. Place is very neat and clean. The loft upstairs was great for an extra room for kids. They loved it! I wish I knew the story about the bird that pecks at the master bedroom window. Every morning at 7:30 you have your own alarm! Lol. We were intrigued.
We stayed in 2BR/2BA & the downtown Niles location was perfect for our needs. Units have heavy wood accents and eclectic furnishings with large windows overlooking the river. There is a walking trail & a great bar/pizzeria, a short walk away with Farm to table menu items. Entry to property was easy & felt safe. Even the connecting hallway near laundry machines had well stocked coffee nook with stools overlooking river & kcup machine. The only ding there may be for some is that all units are on 2nd floor with no elevators. Communication with the host for any concerns exemplary.
