We were there on our honeymoon and it was a fun part of the stay. We really loved the food/drink staff and the nighttime show. But wish that the day time activity staff had more big organized water aerobics type activity’s. It said daily but was only done 2 times in the 5 we were there. Also, the guests that stay here are all very loud and chaotic, having fights over chairs and loungers, screaming until 3am by the casino. So we did say trips to leave the hotel in between meals to get a break from them. Handnt noticed it at other hotels, just the Riu clientele. No fault to the staff but we weren’t a fan of the crowd.

There’s a fine line between providing quality goods and services and trimming costs. RIU has moved too far over to the cutting expenses side. The ala carte restaurants have quotas so we couldn’t eat at one after 7:30 pm even though they say that are open until 9 pm. No more blender drinks at the pool bar, it’s all syrups that don’t taste anything like the real thing. And they are smaller cups. Entertainment is not up to par. Very disappointed. They are too focused on cost cutting and losing their ideals…making great experences happen. Not happening anymore.

Our room was so so clean . There was hair on a floor for 2 days before they were pick up . The steakhouse restaurant and Crystal restaurant we tried to get in for a few days and we couldn’t.. they told us that would take reservation but once we go there by 7 o’clock, they don’t take any people inside. I think it’s ridiculous.

Zero personalized service, limited good options. No food or bar service at pool or beach. No reservations allowed for dinner. Buffet was like being on a carnival cruise. Hotel is not taken care of, for the money you pay to stay here I would expect exceptional customer service and catering to your needs. We had 5 couples that spent a total of $25,000+ for a week, it was disappointing. I love Aruba but wound never stay or recommend this hotel to anyone.
