My family of six adults recently stayed at this lovely house for nine days, our first visit to Grand Cayman. We chose it for its location; away from the crowds at 7 Mile Beach.
If you want bars, restaurants, nightlife, and shopping, this is not the place for you. The house is nestled in 11 acres of protected forest, away from the main road down a long driveway. It's lovely and tranquil and surrounded by nature, which is just what we wanted. Three members of our family are serious birders, and they were enchanted with the wide variety immediately surrounding the house, as well as the nearby viewing opportunities just a short drive away. We saw agoutis in the yard a few times, which was fun!
The house is open and airy with many sliding doors to the outdoors. As I am a mosquito magnet, I appreciated the screened in patio and upstairs balcony that ran the length of the house. There is a small swimming pool that is unheated, but lovely for a refreshing afternoon dip.
The kitchen was huge and well-equipped and except for two restaurant meals, we cooked very well at the house. We also used the gas grill on the patio.
Frank, the owner, was great with communication and information, and he had a wonderful library of books on nature and the environment in the Caymans which got a lot of use during our stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and hope to return to this house again!
