Gosh, the host communicated well, we enjoyed the rum cake treat too! The condo was very clean, updated and all systems worked perfectly! We enjoyed the people that stayed around us and the beach and Kaibo resort was nice to have by. We would definitely stay in this C25 again! Very pleased!
If you are looking for a spot to stay in Grand Cayman thatâs away from the crowds, this is a great spot. My wife, 4 kids (ages 13, 15, 18, and 21), and I all lived the accommodations and the location was perfect.
Condo was great, perfect for family. Perfect area for a relaxing stay. Kaibo, Starfish Point and Rum Point offer plenty without the crowds of Seven Mile Beach. Thelda and Gigi were fantastic contacts, very responsive.
We stayed at Kaibo Yacht Club Phase 2 eleven years ago and wanted to bring our children to this hidden gem. This unit was so beautifully updated and decorated that we felt like we were in a high-end hotel. The hosts were so helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. We would love to go back!
We enjoyed our stay in the condo near Kaibo. Be warned - there are a lot of jelly fish in the water just outside of the condo so swimming is treacherous. Luckily there were kayaks that came with the condo so that we could enjoy the water.
Getting into the property was confusion, one unit number was given then another. Directions to open the unit needs to be more specific when the code is sent.
The condo was nicely furnished, in nice condition, and roomy. The kitchen, dining, and living area were open. There was a screened porch which overlooked the beach and Kaibo Beach Club and Marina. The Kaibo Beach restaurant was just a short walk down the beach and offered a decent menu including pizzas. Not cheap, but convenient. They also had an small coffee shop for a morning coffee and pasteries. We chartered a boat for a day of snorkeling and it picked us up at the Kaibo Marina which was really nice. The only small complaint I have is the dishes need to be supplemented. There were only 3 cereal bowels and 4 or 5 small plates. We very much enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay there again.
Pros:
-Great view of the ocean/beach
-Unit was clean
-Remodeling was recent and nice
-Convenient parking right outside unit
-Pool and hot tub were fairly nice (I heard they are being re-done in the near future)
-Lots of towels/linens stocked in the unit
-Walking distance to Starfish Point
Cons:
-AC unit wasn't cooling properly - filter was filthy and caused the unit to freeze up with a ton of ice - no response from property manager on VRBO chat for 5+ hours - had to call. Service was sent out very quickly and was taken care of, but still could have been avoided by changing the filter more frequently.
-No instructions were provided by property manager on how to operate/unlock/lock door
-Beds were harder than desired
-Curtains didn't block out much light
-Dumpster is right outside of unit and was emptied at 2:45am Friday morning
-Unit doesn't have a full size oven (only convection microwave/oven) - wasn't an issue for us, but if you were renting for a longer term, something to be aware of
- Refrigerator is also smaller than full size - wasn't an issue for us, but if you were renting for a longer term, something to be aware of
-Dinnerware in the unit was all glass - challenging if you have young children
-Non-Stick frying pans were scratched (health hazard)
Overall: We enjoyed our stay and will return to Kaibo Yacht Club again, but may try another unit next time. We had family staying in other units on the property, so had the ability to see other options.
