There is a coldness about the Starr that is hard to discern. Check in is relatively easy. They take a large deposit, not for incidentals, but for fines or fees for smoking, etc. if you purchase anything at the lobby market or at the restaurant bar, it cannot be charged to your room it has to be paid for separately, even though you did leave a deposit. As they push the image of an Italian/European. . As they push the image of an Italian/European hotel. It is absolutely not that. It was relatively small, semi Gaudy accents trying to depict the European feel. The rooms are clean, the jetted tub is fine and the room size is more than adequate. It is dated and there are cosmetic things that need attention. The bar is small yet comfortable. The restaurant is kind of in the lobby. The service in the restaurant is slow (understaffed) and the food is sub par considering the cost of menu items. Breakfast was such a horror show, that after 35 minutes of waiting, we just got it to go. 15 minutes later we opened the containers and had one bite each before tossing and going to Juniors up the road. At a super discounts, may be considered,.. but there are so many other places that you could find that offer a better experience.

Room was good condition, but very thin walls & ceiling. The young lady behind the bar basically ignored us.She seemed a little overwhelmed, but it was not busy. A simple "Welcome Ill be right with you" would have been nice. We ended up leaving and going else where.

Overall, a pretty good place near Foxwoods. There were problems, unfortunately. The window was stuck open and the thermostat on the wall didn’t work. I turned on the heat in the wall unit and set the temp to 68. Got up at 2 AM to a 90 a degree temperature. The mattress was an unforgiving memory foam that was way too hard. Too bad, because the staff were great, food was good and the decor was a classic. Still, all in all, its our last stay at Bellissimo.

Room phone did not work only a couple of tv channels you had to use your personal Account to log into anything else on the tv desk staff were nice and friendly room was clean i would stay there again for the price it’s just as good as foxwood and very close
