I always believe in giving an honest review. While the staff at Hotel North were fabulous and the location near the ferry was super convenient, that’s about all I can say this hotel had going for it. We had a room on the first floor, and right away when I saw all of the dehumidifiers in the hallways I knew it wasn’t going to be good. The rooms were “clean”, but there was no hiding the musty smell in the halls and the room. I unfortunately am allergic to mould and very sensitive to smells and I had a very hard time sleeping there. I left the next day with a horrible sinus headache. Even my husband who is oblivious to those things, said it smelled musty. It was extremely expensive and I just think it’s an old building that needs some serious cleaning and TLC. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Clean and spacious rooms. Friendly front desk staff. The star of our stay was the restaurant attached and more specifically Jessie - our server. She was phenomenal during dinner when we first arrived and remembered us the next day for breakfast and even seated us at our same table. The food was also fantastic - compliments to the cooks!

the staff that works the evening in the restaurant have to be trained to deal with people my wife nd sister herd the girls being kind of rood to the customers,sevice was real slow no one should have to or be told that it would be 45 min. till they get their food.other services were good

The hotel is larger than what it appears when you first arrive. It wraps right around the back and side. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. My room was clean and I could see the ferries from my window. It was nice to be on the second floor without anyone above you. There is a restaurant and bar right off the entrance when you come in so it was very convenient to go down for dinner. There roast beef dinner was to "die" for along with their carrot cake for dessert. This was one of the most enjoyable stays I have ever had waiting for the ferry. Keep up the fantastic job!!!
